IndiaI looked at Egypt, not knowing what to say or how to react. She didn't look the same, she was more beautiful than before, she looked happy, she seemed happy.
I remember being happy, I remember going to all my doctors appointments after deciding not to get a abortion. I remember listening to my baby's heart beat, looking at her little sonograms, I was alone but knowing that it was a little human inside of me made me happy . That was until I found out she was stillborn.
For a long time, I blamed Egypt. I blamed her because she wasn't there for me, she caused me to stress. I didn't know where she was, she literally dropped off the face of the earth.
And here she was.
In the flesh.
In the most beautiful form of flesh.
And I could no longer blame her, she did what made her happy.
"W-What are you doing here India?" She asked, a look of confusion flooding her face .
"Bash invited me, I didn't know this was your house. I wouldn't have come, I uh - I'm sorry. I should go" I said, wiping my hands on my yellow tube dress.
"Yea Egypt, I did invite her. I'm sorry if that was overstepping my boundaries but I didn't want to leave her in the state that she was in" Bash said, stuffing a sliced piece of pineapple into his mouth.
"Um, no you don't have to go. What state were you in? What's he talking about? Something wrong?" She asked looking at me intensely.
"Oh nothing, I'm fine" I said.
She nodded her head, silently telling me she understood but the conversation wasn't over.
Typical Egypt.
She walked away from the door, allowing me to enter the house, and the inside was more beautiful than the outside.
" I was thinking we could walk over to the beach but the way the sun beaming , it's a no for me. So we can just make some drinks, catch up, and have a movie day" Egypt suggested.
Everyone agreed, especially Bash's big ass.
20 minutes later, Egypt was passing out frozen margaritas, when she got to me her hand accidentally brushed against mine and she stared me in the eyes a little before ripping her eyes away.
I'll be damned if that little touch didn't cause a shiver in my body. She looked and smelled so delicious. My mind was rapidly bringing up all our old sexcapades. I was pulled from them when my phone began to ring.
Pulling it out, I blew out some breath, it was Kennedy, my girlfriend.
Here I am lusting over Egypt when I have a whole bitch at home .
"Hello?" I answered in a hushed tone, not wanting attention to be on me.
"What's up boo, why you whispering and shit?" Kennedy asked.
I looked up and Egypt's eyes were on me and she was looking at me intensely, I knew she'd heard her. Her hearing was always A1.
"I'm not whispering but I'm actually catching up with everyone so let me call you back later" I said, not taking my eyes off of Egypt.
"Cool, I love you" She said .
"Me too" I said before hanging up.
"Sorry about that, that was my friend" I said, pushing my hair behind my ear.
"Didn't sound like a friend when she said I love you or called you baby" Egypt pointed out, rolling her eyes and sipping her drink.
"Hey don't start" Layla warned , looking from me to Egypt.
I shook my head and also took a sip from my drink, almost choking .
" Goodness gracious, what the hell is in here" I asked, wiping my mouth.
"Damn lightweight, it's only a little patron" Egypt said laughing at me.
Bash and Layla joined in, I hated to be laughed at so like a fool I took the rest straight to the head, savagely guzzling it down.
"Now who's the light weight, drink up" I cheered, smiling.
Everyone chuckled, as if there was a inside joke I knew nothing about.
"You know damn well you can't hold your liquor" Bash said , shaking his head .
I waved him off before focusing my attention on Egypt " So what have you been up to, Egypt?" I asked.
" Nothing much really, I work at a little veterinary clinic as a vet tech, I really just sit around and enjoy life, if I'm being honest. Not a lot of action in my life like it used to be" She said, drinking the rest of her drink.
"Oh okay, well I've been working at a veterinary clinic as well, I guess great minds think alike. I never liked animals that much until I met you and they were all you talked about , money and animals. So I said what the hell and took some classes and became a vet tech. Other than that I don't do much" I said.
"You don't do much but hang with your friend" Egypt said raising an eyebrow, adding emphasis on friend.
"Yes, I hang with her and I don't know why I called her my friend we are actually together" I said , adding emphasis on the together.
"Oh is that right?"She said, laughing a little.
"What's funny?" I asked.
"You, I don't know why you got to front. That's your bitch then that's your bitch, you ain't got to fake for me mamas" She said .
"You guys" Layla frowned at us.
"I ain't faking for you Egypt, I was sparing your feelings, you was looking at a bitch with goggly eyes like you trying go" I said , getting amped up.
I guess the liquor had hit me.
"I mean yea you look good, but you ain't sparing shit. You know like I know it ain't a bitch or a nigga who fucking with me boo, but you can continue" She said , shutting my ass down.
Before I could reply, there was a knock at the door, everyone looked over at Egypt, wondering who that could be.
"I don't know who this could be" She said.
The way she said it, I knew it was about to be some shit.
"Damn baby you look so fucking good" I heard a deep voice say.
"Thank you daddy" I heard Egypt pur.
I heard the door shut and Egypt waltz into the room with a tall ass tatted up dyke behind her.
"You guys, this is my baby, Dino"
