The next morning
(Y/N)'s POV

I turn over in bed. I see a man's bare back. I look under the covers, and see myself fully clothed. I recognize the man as Brian, and notice he has pants on. Thank goodness. Not yet. The baby monitor emits crying from Aubrie. Brian jolts up.

"Should've warned ya," I chuckle, "Go back to sleep. I got this." I kiss his forehead. He turns back over. I make my way towards the nursery. "Aubrie. Why you crying baby girl?" As I walk closer I can smell why. I change her and clean up all the shit. Literally.

I make her a bottle. I pick her up, and we sit in the rocking chair. I start feeding her, and I start singing Twinkle Twinkle Little Star.

Her little eyelids close. I take the bottle out of her mouth, and lie her back into her crib. I walk into the kitchen. I start making Ben's favorite. Omelettes. I take a pan out, and start cracking eggs.

After a few minutes, Ben's omelette is almost done. I hear a pitter patter from upstairs.

"Morning mom," Ben yawns. He sits on a bar stool at the kitchen island.

"Morning son. I made your favorite!"

"Pancakes?" I stand there in confusion.

"Shit," I mutter. Omelettes were Paul's favorite. "Ben hunny. We don't have any pancake ingredients. Mommy has to go to the store. I made omelettes today." I plated his food, and stuck the plate in front of him. I sit on the stool next to him, and look at him while he eats.

"My gosh Ben," I say softly while rubbing his hair. He looks exactly like his father. I wish he didn't. His dark brown hair and his emerald eyes.

"I love you sweetie," I say as I kiss the top of his head. "When you are done eating, put it in the sink and get ready for basketball. Jonathon's parents are driving you today."

"Okay mom. I love you." I pause. He hasn't said that to me since his father left.

"I love you too." I walk back into the bedroom to see Brian on his phone.

"Hello beautiful," he says. I sit on my side of the bed, silent. "Are you okay?" He slides over next to me.

"Yea, actually." I sent a sincere smile his way. He rubs my cheek with his thumb. "It's just an odd feeling getting back in the game after being with the same person for ten years."

"Ten years?!" Brian says in shock.

"Yeah. We got married shortly after I had Ben." I pause for a few minutes. "Ben told me he loved me. First time since Paul left."

"He loves you a lot, (Y/N). He talks about in class a lot, and draws a bunch of pictures of you. Some are of you as a superhero. I haven't seen one picture of a father figure. And that is good and bad for a boy his age. It's good cause he isn't still hooked up on a father who isn't there for him anymore, but it's bad cause he doesn't have a male figure in his life period." He paused for a moment, and smiles. He lifts my head up to look in his eyes. "And that is what I am here for. I wanna be your son's role model in his life." I feel a tear escape my right eye. I smile and hug Brian.

"Thank you."

"I've accepted this crazy life of yours, and I don't plan on leaving." I pull away from the hug, and kiss him. He kisses back immediately. We pull away.

"Is Ben gone yet?" Brian asks.

"Uh...I think so."

"Can I have breakfast? You said you can cook. And I know you don't want Ben to know about us yet. Especially with me as his teacher."

"You should take him to his basketball practice next weekend. Get to know him. He will accept us more if you slyly sneak in some bonding moments." We stand up, and head out of the bedroom towards the kitchen. "What do you want to eat? I just made Ben an omelette."

"An omelette sounds great!" He wraps his arms around me from behind as I stand at the stove. "Do you think he will accept...me?"

"I think so," I respond as I crack eggs on the pan.

"Won't it seem a little off having his teacher bring him to a practice that has his other classmates?"

"Off to who?"

"The other kids' parents, or even the kids."

"Don't worry Brian. If you don't want to say anything to other parents, just say you are helping out. Tell them that I am going through a divorce and need the help. Half of the parents know anyway from Facebook." You turn around, and kiss his cheek. Your hand lands on his buff chest, and it's drifts up and down just admiring his body.

"You like what you see," he jokes. I snap out of my trance. Blush creeps along my cheeks.

"I-uh-I....eggs." I turn back around trying to hide my blush and smile. He laughs at my shyness.

"Fucking adorable!" he shouts. He kisses my cheek. I plate Brian's food.

"One omelette for Mr. Hanby." I slide the plate on the island.

"Thank you, beautiful," he says as he kisses my head. "What are you going to eat?"

"Cereal."

"Mom!" Ben runs in. "Mr. Hanby? What are you doing here? Where's your shirt?"
