(Y/N)'s POV
"Mom!" Ben runs in. "Mr. Hanby? What are you doing here? Where's your shirt?"
I froze in fear.
"Hey Ben!" Brian says loudly. "I was helping your mom fix something outside. It got hot out." Ben looked at Brian concerned, then over at me.
"I thought you were going to basketball?" I ask.
"Coach cancelled on our way there."
"Oh. Well, do you wanna go get some ice cream Ben?"
"Can I..uh..just go to my room?"
"Sure..." I sit there sadly as I watch him mope up to his room.
"Do you want me to talk to him?" Brian whispers.
"No. No. I'll talk to him." I walk up the stairs and knock on his door. "Ben? Can we talk?" I open the door to see his lights off and him lying on his bed in his basketball uniform. "Ben? What's wrong?" He doesn't answer. I sit on his bed. "Talk to me please."
"What about dad!?" he shouts finally. "You invited my teacher into our house! Dad is my dad! Do you not care about him anymore?"
"Ben. Hunny, I never said I didn't care for your father anymore. I still love your father. I always will. Your father left us alone. I stayed. I still wanted you to still have a great life. I waited sweetie. I did. Your father wants to go his separate way. He loves you no doubt, he just can't be with all of us anymore. He still is gonna see you. He told me he will once we figure things out. Okay?"
"Okay mom. I'm sorry for yelling." He hugs me.
"It's okay baby. I understand. I did the same thing when Grandma and Grandpa broke up." I kiss his head.
"Hey kiddo," Brian pops in and leans on the door frame with his shirt on this time, and Aubrie in hand.
"Hi, Mr. Hanby." Brian walks closer to us.
"You don't have to call me Mr. Hanby, except for when we are in class." He sit on the other side of Ben. "Call me Brian. Okay?" He puts his fist out.
Ben smirks, and connects his fist. "Okay." Aubrie cries.
"Come here baby!" I take Aubrie in my arms. "Ben, do you wanna hold her?" He shakes his head.
"I'm scared of dropping her."
"Aw Ben. Here let me show you," Brian instructs Ben how to hold her. We both watch very carefully to make sure there is no sudden movements from Ben or Aubrie.
"Our dysfunctional little family," Ben whispers. I smile and Brian and I look at each other. "That ice cream sounds good right now."
"Let mommy take a shower, and get dressed before we go okay? You get changed too." I take Aubrie back. Brian and I walk back downstairs. I put Aubrie in her crib.
"I think I'm going to run home to change into casual clothing. I'll be back okay?" Brian plants a kiss on my lips, and pulls me close by the small on my back.
"You sure know how to turn a girl on," I whisper in his ear.
"I'm just gonna say, you are lucky you just had a baby, and I can't do anything...special yet." His hand moves down to my ass.
"Soon," I say as I peck his lips, "Go get changed." I smile.
Timeskip———————————————————
I dress Aubrie, and put her in her carriage. I hear a beep from outside. Brian is driving us to the ice cream parlor.
"Ben! Let's go!" I scream upstairs as I open the door. I have on a blue strapless dress with white diagonal stripes on the top of the dress. My hair is curled, and down. And a natural makeup look. I strap Aubrie in the back, and sit in the front. Brian is wearing a shirt with TheGamingTerroriser on it, and blue skinny jeans. The shirt is very familiar to me.
"I said casual," Brian chuckles. "This looks like something you would wear to class."
"This is casual for me."
"It really is," said Ben sitting on his tablet.
"Ben, you're nine. How do you even understand the word casual?" Brian asks.
"Her," he points at me without looking up from his game. I innocently smile at Brian. Brian just shakes his head at me.
"Alright Ben. What do you want to do that isn't 'girly'?" He smirks at me when he says 'girly.' I giggle, and take Brian's right hand in mine. "We need 'Bro-time.'"
"Can we play video games? Mom is really bad at them."
"No I'm not! I just can't beat a nine-year-old. I can probably beat Brian."
"Yeah right!" Brian yells, "Ben. Do you think your mom could beat me at video games?"
"No!" Ben yells in response.
"Here we are!" Brian pulls into the parking lot. The four of us get out, and walk into the parlor. Aubrie and I sit at a table while Brian and Ben get the ice cream.
Timeskip————————————————————
The four of us walk out of the parlor laughing at something that Ben said. I get Ben and Aubrie in the car. As I open the passenger door, I hear an eerily familiar voice.
"Good to see you again, (Y/N)." I turn, and froze.
"You!"
