Chapter 5

Brian's POV (A few hours later)

I sit outside my friend's house. He and I were gonna get a couple beers and catch up.

"Hey Bri!" Evan shouts as he opens the passenger door.

"Hey Van!" I shout back. "How has gaming been? I haven't done a video with you in a while."

"So you don't watch my stuff?" Evans chuckles. "But we need to hang out more."

"Anything new in your life?"

"Single as ever. Youtube is busy. Barely have time to find someone. How is your life? How's teaching?"

"Youtube is busy. That's why I hadn't posted lately. My teaching job is a lot of work. I miss screaming at the guys but I love teaching the kids."

"We all understand, Terr. It's what you wanted to do before Youtube anyway."

"Oh. And I met someone," I say as we turn into the bar's parking lot. I park the car.

"You did?? Is she hot?" I just laugh.

"She's absolutely gorgeous. Her (E/C) eyes just sparkle. I love her."

"Wait," he says as we walk towards the bar, "Love?"

"Yes, love." We sit at the bar and order one beer each.

"Tell me about her." He takes a sip of his beer.

"Well...she's married." Evan spit his beer out and starts choking.

"M-married?"

"Well they are separated."

"For how long?"

"10 months."

"Dude."

"What? She's beautiful....and... had two kids," I mutter as I take a drink.

"Two kids? The only thing that could make this worse is if one of the kids is in your class," he erupts with laughter as he drinks more beer. I don't answer. I turn away chugging my beer.

"Are you serious?" Evan questions.

"Yup," I answer.

"You can't date one of your students' parents! That is just wrong."

"How is it wrong? I like her a lot. I liked her before I knew Ben was in my class."

"Oh god! Do the kids know you guys are dating?"

"Only Ben does. Aubrie doesn't know anything yet. She's only...four weeks old."

"She just had a baby?!"

"Wow you are making me feel like I fucked up more and more."

"What does she do?"

"Teaches in the middle school."

"That isn't bad. It's cute. You got a pic of her?" I pull out my phone, and show him my lock screen of (Y/N), Ben, and I.

"Ev. I know what she has seems to be a lot to deal with, but," I pause knowing he is going to say something, "I love her. And her dysfunctional family." I put my phone away. I feel a hand on my back.

"It's all good bro. If it makes you happy, then I am all for it. She should meet the others."

"Well, um. I don't want her to know about my channel. I'm honestly considering quitting."

"Wait really!?"

"Yeah. I've been thinking this before I met her. I haven't had fun anymore since I have been teaching. It honestly feels like a chore. If I don't quit, I need to take a break. Just for maybe a month."

"Everyone deserves a break. Take one. Focus on teaching and your girl. Maybe if you tell her about your channel, you guys can make it into a gaming channel together."

"Maybe. We will see." I open my third beer and start drinking.
