Chapter 2

"Morning Paisley. You look as dashing as always." Joseph smiles, slapping at my ass. I turn to glare at him. "Fuck off, jackass." I spit. He smirks and pulls my chair closer to his. "Mmm. I love this skirt." He says playing with the hem of my skirt. I snort and push him away.

"Joe being a perverted asshole again?" Austin laughs. I give him a faint smile and turn back to the board. Austin is very sweet. He's cute, I guess. Alyssa loves the guy. Joseph on the other hand, he's a pig. He's been trying to get in my pants since the beginning of the semester. But, all I could focus on at the moment was Harry. It had been years since he had crossed my mind. I just can't believe I had actually met him and he wanted my number.

Class was over soon enough and I walked to my car to meet Alyssa. When I began to approach my car, my breathing hitched in my throat. Niall, Harry and Alyssa stand beside my car. They're talking. That's all they're doing is talking. I'm rather surprised Alyssa is keeping her cool.

"Hello darling." I hear a deep voice say from behind me. I turn to find Joseph with a wicked grin on his face. What the fuck could he possibly want now? "What?" I snap. He smirks at my reaction and grabs my wrist. He pulls me into his chest. I turn to look at Harry. He has a deep scowl on his face.

"Is that Harry Styles?" Joseph asks I nod silently. Joseph was my neighbor before we came to college. We were friends, but once we hit college, he wanted more. I was completely against the whole idea. Joseph might've known about my obsession with Harry when I was younger. "Well, lets show lover boy what he's missing." Joseph says lowly, all attention on me.

"Lover boy?" A deep, husky voice bellows from behind me. Harry stands, arms across his chest and eyebrows furrowed. "I suggest you get the fuck off of her before I "lover boy" has to do it for you." Harry scowls. Joseph backs away slowly as I turn to Harry.

"Thank you." I smile. He only nods and begins to walk back to the car. "You shouldn't talk to him anymore." Harry stops abruptly, turning to me. I shrug, "Thanks Harry. I think I can handle him, though." I joke.

Harry didn't pick up on my playful tone as his gaze hardens. "You can handle it?" He emphasizes the word, handle. I swallow and finally look up to meet his stare. "I didn't mean it like that. I just-"

"Whatever. Let's go to lunch." Harry says harshly, cutting me off. I silently follow him back to my car. I get in the drivers seat with Harry in the passenger. Alyssa and Niall are sat in the back, arguing about which one has the cutest laugh.

I smile as I adjust my mirrors and back out of my parking space. I can feel Harry's eyes on me. I try my best to ignore it until I feel his hand on my thigh. I jump slightly. I turn my attention to him when we stop at the restaurant.

"I'm sorry I snapped at you." He says quietly. I give him a small smile before I climb out of the vehicle. He jogs in front of me and opens the door. I smile shyly and mumble a "thank you". Niall and Alyssa slip into the booth across from Harry and I. I tried my best to put as much distance between Harry and I as possible.

He seemed to have noticed as he moved closer. I sighed picking up my menu. I hold above my face, hiding it from Harry. His fingers hook onto my menu, pulling it away from it's original place.

"What's wrong, love?" He asks, worry filling his gorgeous, green orbs. I fake a smile and shake my head. "Nothing at all." He seems skeptical, but doesn't push me any further.

I don't know why Harry's outburst upset me. He was just trying to watch out for me. I refuse to let it bother any longer.

"So, um one of our celebrity friends was having a party. Would you two like to come?" Harry asks quietly. Alyssa's eyes light up. "Who's party?" She beams. Niall clears his throat, "Um, Ed Sheeran."

I have to resist the urge to scream. I smile and nod. "We'd love too." Alyssa nods frantically. My mind wanders else where, after the waitress takes our order.

Am I his date? Who's going to be there? Will he be embarrassed of me?

The last question that floated its way into my brain was completely ridiculous. We were barely even friends. I'm happy I'd have Alyssa there, Harry will probably leave to talk with his celebrity friends anyhow.

"Paisley!" Harry bellows while poking my arm. I jump slightly, shaking my head. "Oh. Sorry, did you say something?" Harry's dimples show through and if I was standing, I would've fainted. "I asked if you were planning on eating or if you were going to continue to stare at me." My cheeks burn scarlett, and I know that he must've noticed.

"Don't worry about it, love. I find it hard to not stare at you." He whispers. I can't help the huge smile that is now plastered on my face. He called me love. And he said it was difficult not to look at me. My heart feels like it could melt, if that was possible.

"Today has been absolutely amazing." Alyssa shouts as she falls back into the couch. I smile, agreeing with her. "We've been dreaming about this since we were fourteen, Paisley!" Alyssa says. You can practically hear the giddy in her voice. She's right. Although I might've slightly grow out of the whole phase, you never stop loving someone who was once your whole world.
