As hells forces approached the palace the half-blood resistance began to grow thinner and thinner as they grew ever closer to the end of the line.
"Alright reform the main unit and press forward this march stops for no one!" Rias commanded after blasting through a half-blood barricade
"The enemy barricades are getting closer together the further we come, either they're buying time or attempting to weaken us little by little" Azimuth noted
"I'm not sure, but whatever their doing it's not working" Edwin said
"Edwin how many of the family are alive still?" Rias asked as she approached the two
"Other than myself I know at least six of my siblings still live, Huntross, Selena, Clayton, Maxine, Cana, and Sean. But most of them I have no idea where they are" Edwin replied
"So all your heavy hitters are out" Azimuth said
"I'm still here so no, not all of them" Huntross said as he made touchdown Rizer on toe, Luna and Caren just behind him
"Sorry were late" Luna said
"Huntross!" Rias called jumping into his arms, holding him tight
"Hey Rias" Huntross replied accepting her sudden embrace
"Welcome back, brother" Edwin said placing his hand firmly on Huntross's shoulder
"It's good to see you my king!" Azimuth said greeting Huntross bowing shortly
"Azimuth thank you for helping Rias while I was gone" Huntross said
"It was my pleasure, my king" she replied
"I love how he calls us out for having our loving moment yet he gets one almost immediately" Caren whispered to Luna
"I know right!" Luna replied "ahem! War zone remember" Luna said
"Right" Huntross replied "let's get moving!" He announced
"Luna where's Catherine?" Galen asked rushing to the group
"Oh right! she's passed out in the garden over there" Luna replied pointing in the direction of the garden
"What happened?" Galen asked
"She just overworked herself" Luna replied
"I'll get a medic group headed over there, you can come with them or stay here" Azimuth assured him before the two headed off to get a medic
"Good luck! Luna" Galen said before vanishing in the crowd of soldiers.
With Huntross retaking command, hell's forces got their second wind overcoming one half-blood barricade after the other, their speed and efficiency increasing exponentially as they pressed forward.
With every passing moment hell's forces grew closer and closer to the palace only to be met by increasing half-blood resistance, unlike before when each barricade only manned by the bare minimum amount needed to slow the advance of hell's army, now the half-blood were attacking in force desperately trying to slow them down but to no avail. With every push the half-blood made the demons would push even harder taking more and more ground with every attempt.
"Keep pushing! they can't keep this up forever!" Rizer called cutting down half-blood soldier after soldier
"Don't let a single one make it past! We retake the capital today!" Azimuth called rallying the troops as they advanced
