In the weeks after the half-blood queens death, reinforcements from outside the capital arrived rallying the citizens in a massive all out counterattack, ending in the liberation of the capital.
In the following Mouths mixed assault force of fallen, angels, and demons, finally put an end to the war. Afterwards a new king was crowned and hell began its long process of rebuilding, it took seven years for the capital city to be rebuilt but the scars of war had still yet to fade. The hall of heroes had its new additions Huntross V Crimson; the fallen king, Rias G Crimson; hell's queen of war, Luna V Crimson; hell's first angel, and countless others who lost their lives to the war.
It took years nearly 30 years to restore hell to its former status, in that time the choice was made to turn hell from a monarchy to democracy, with the now 21 noble houses making up the council of hell. Oddly enough the house of Crimson chose to remain absent from the council, and choosing to leave hell's capital city and take up residence in the countryside outside of hell's major city's, living out a simple and calming existence.
"That's us!" A child interrupted
"Ralph shut up! Let grandma talk!" Another said
"Children, children, please let me finish the story" a old and cheerful grandmother said
"Yes ma'am" the children replied
"Grandma, what happened to Caren?" A small girl asked
"The last lord of house Leviathan, took up the sword Eclipse and set off on a adventure of her own, and eventually passed away leaving the sword hidden somewhere in the nine realms" the grandmother replied
"Why?" The boy from before asked
"Well she hid the sword so that the only way to find it was to follow the adventures of its creator, the young Luna" The grandmother said
"Grandmother, how do you know so much about this story?" Another child asked
"Well the answer is simple really, I was there" the grandmother replied "you guys should know this, the fallen King and Hell's first angel were my family, your aunt and uncle, I am the Selena" she added
It's been a long time since I wrote the first Devils among us, and it's been such a good time I'm almost sad to see it go, but as the saying goes, all good things must come to and end. Thank you to everyone who's held on and read this far, thank you truly! I'm so sorry it took so long to get to this point but still I can't believe it's finally here the ending to Devils among us, the final chapter. It was a wild ride that I wish I could go through again but sadly it's time I called it a day and hung up my hat.
