Tom's P.O.V
Right now, I wasn't in the mood for Tord's shit. I'm halfway crippled, so fighting him isn't an option I'm fond of. I made my way down the hallway, mumbling the whole way down. When I got to my room, I slammed the door shut and grabbed my vodka from last night. Thank god I didn't drink this all last night. The more vodka I chugged, the more the pain eased away. I was scrolling through my phone when my door swung open. It was the Commie. "Hey asshole, knock next time." I continued to scroll through my phone.
"I came to check how you were doing, but, I can tell you're doing just fucking fine." He closed the door behind him.
Guess that was the end of him visiting me.

Tord's P.O.V
I was watching TV when I get guilty for laughing at Tom. He sounded like he was in some pretty bad pain when he fell. That scream was to agonizing for Tom just falling. Hell, Tom's the clumsiest guy I know, always tripping and falling. I decided to go check on him. Okay Tord, I'm and out. You don't actually care if he's hurt. I walked into his room, breathing in the scent that I love so much. I could tell Tom had been drinking, but I didn't really care. Tom seemed a little pissed at me not knocking. Instead of apologizing I stupidly responded back, my voice seething with arrogance and a little hate. Why are you like this? You're supposed to check on him for God's sake! I closed the door and huffed my way to the front door, pulling my coat on as I left. Might as well get something productive done today. I started heading to the base. As I walked down the street, I noticed droplets of blood. Odd... Must've been from some bar fight. I entered our base, only to be greeted with some shocking news.
"The assassin was here last night. I'm surprised he got into here, with all of our entrances being cleverly hidden." Pau said with an exhale of smoke. "He also has amazing stealth. He entered through the vents, and didn't make a damn sound for being in those metal vents."
The assassin was here?! "Do you guys have anything worthy of taking note? Something he can be identified by?" I asked my brain trying to figure this out like a puzzle.
"Well, we only caught a glimpse of him but he was wearing a royal blue dress shirt and black jeans." Pat said, trying to remember if there was more detail. "We shot at him, but we're not sure if any of the bullets hit."
Could that blood be the assassin's?... no. That'd be impossible. If he got hit by any of our weapons, it'd hurt too much to walk on. All of my weapons are highly modified, there is no way in Hell he could withstand that pain. "All right, you two are dismissed." I started to write down notes of what they could remember. I was deep in thought, pacing around my office, when I was snapped back into reality. I looked to see where the sound was coming from. My pocket. I took my phone out to see it was Tom calling me. I answered.
"Yes, Thomas?"
"Don't fucking call me that, Commie bastard. Anyways, I called because I'm going out to get lunch and you weren't in your room. I wanted to know if you wanted to come with me?"
"Not now, Tom." I hung up. And tried to get back into the state I was in before, but failed. All I could think about was Tom. The way he smiled, the way his hair laid, how he smelled like strawberries and cream. Fuck...It's not everyday Tom invites me to eat with him... God damnit. I dialed Tom's phone, waiting for him to pick up.
"Yeah? You need something while I'm out?"
"Meet me at the Chinese place in 10 minutes. I'll be waiting for you." I hung up, putting my coat on. I told Pat that I was gonna come back later, and to hold down the fort while I'm gone.

Tom's P.O.V
After Tord hung up, I could feel my face heat up. Why the hell am I blushing?! It's just lunch, not a date. By the time I arrived at the Chinese place, Tord was already at a table waiting for me. When he saw me, he put his phone away and waved me over. I walked over to the table and sat across from him. "Why did you call me back?" I smirked. "Didja miss me, Tord?"
"I was hungry, and I thought I'd call you back since you had already offered before."
Damn. This man was cold, it sounded like he didn't even want to talk to me. The awkward silence got too much for me to bear. "So... heard anything interesting on the news lately?" Well Tom, you might as well take the award for most interesting conversation starter.
"Well, I don't know if this is on the news but have you heard of the assassin going around and supposedly killing mafias?" He asked, a hint of interest in his gray eyes.
I tensed, but managed to keep a straight face and even tone, "Really? That's interesting. I wonder why he's doing it?" Man, I've never prayed for anyone to interrupt a conversation before, but you can get your sweet ass I was right now.
"Rumor has it, he's getting revenge because a mafia killed his closest friends."
His icy gray eyes seemed to stare into my soul, but I didn't dare talk. I knew if I talked, my voice would be full of anger and despair. At that same moment, the waiter came and took our orders. I ordered something random while trying to keep my shit together. But it was true, I had Edd and Matt taken away from me by a mafia that goes by shortened name 'Red'. All my killings are practice. Once I get this group, I'll stop. But I swear on my life, they will die by my hands.
"Tom?"
I was snapped back into reality. "Yeah?"
"You okay?"
"Yeah, I was trying to think what that'd be like. I couldn't ever imagine that."
