*WE'RE NO LONGER ON HOLD BC IT'S SUMMER AND I HAVE NO LIFE SO YEAH I'LL BE TYPING MORE*

Haley's point of view

-

"Are you sure you haven't seen it anywhere in any of your cabs?"

"No Miss, I'm very sorry but, we will continue to look. Best of luck on finding it."

"Thank you for your time." I sighed and hit the end button on my phone, tossing it to the other couch. I leaned down resting my elbows on my knees and my head in my hands. I barely got any sleep last night and I've had a migraine all morning.

"Any luck with the taxi company?" Kaylee asked as she plopped herself down on the opposite side of the couch.

"Nothing." I replied not bothering to look over at her.

"Hey, cheer up. We're going to find it, I promise!" She reassured me. "Now go in your room and get ready and we will go look at the mall."

"And dress nice! You still have one more present!" She shouted just as I entered the doorway of my bedroom and I groaned. I'm really not in the mood to dress up today. Or be surprised. Or socialize. Or anything at that.

I had just finished putting on a light pink colored lip gloss when Kaylee barged in.

"Ready to go?" She asked impatiently. I just snarled in reply, she obviously knew I didn't want to go anywhere.

"ZAMMMMMMM BAE YOU LOOK GOOD." She ignored my snarl and laughed as she took in my appearance. I honestly don't know if that was sarcasm or not. I was wearing a blue and orange tribal print tank top, a white crochet cardigan, black high-wasted shorts and baby blue converse. It wasn't all that dressy but oh well.

"Yeah, stop lying." I snapped. Okay I feel bad for being grouchy but that's just how I am when I'm nervous. I can't really help it. Luckily, she understood and ignored my snapping.

We go to the mall and traced our steps exactly even reacting things we did. We looked for a good hour or more and then decided on asking the customer service desk in the center of the mall if anyone had found it and turned it in. Sadly, our mall scavenger hunt for my beloved bracelet was just a wasted trip. I had given up all hope in finding it. It was the only thing I had left of Ashton, my only sister. She would probably be freaking out on me if she were here right now about how I should have been more responsible or something.

I looked at Kaylee as we stood in the middle of the mall with tears in my eyes. She must have read my mind because she instantly read my mind by pulling me into a hug and stroking her fingers through my hair trying to calm me down. I had a total break down right there in my best friends arms but at the time I really didn't care. After five minutes of getting me calmed down, we finally went back to the hotel room.

three hours. I've laid in bed for three hours doing absolutely nothing but stare at the ceiling. Believe me when I say, there's nothing interesting about it. Kaylee hasn't left my side and I don't want her too. It's honestly the longest period of time she hasn't talked and I'm surprised. She is obviously bored and is only here because she wants to comfort me but I'm uncomfortable with her being bored. Wait, does that even make sense? Oh, well It does to me. We laid in bed for about another three minutes before she breaks the silence.

"Haley?"

"Hmm?"

"Um. Do you feel like getting the rest of your present now? I understand if you don't but it's kind of a one time thing and, it's at six so we have about three hours to get ready and be there. You don't have to go though. " She asked sounding nervous. Kaylee Mabry is never nervous. I might as well go, I mean if we don't, we would probably lay in bed all day.

"Yeah I guess." I say giving in to her puppy eyes.

"YOU WON'T REGRET IT." she yelled in my ear. "I'll be back in an hour and a half to get you ready." Sure enough she held her promise and once an hour and a half passed, she strolled back in.

"Dang boo you look hot." I complimented as she walked in. She was wearing a floral skater skirt, a turquoise crop top, and red vans to match some of the flowers on the skirt. Her hair was curled lightly like it is most of the time. She winked at my compliment to her and walked into my closet. A solid eight minutes later she had me dressed in a tie-dye tank, a black skater skirt as well, a black fedora, and she let me borrow her lavender converse. A gold cross hung from my neck and a stack of bracelets were upon my wrists. She straightened my curly hair and we were ready by four fifty on the dot. We grabbed our bags and headed downstairs to where ever she was taking me.
