Gratsu: The deaf

Chapter 1-Gray

I'm returning to my old home in Magnolia, I was born here and was raised here- and I remember my childhood friend, Natsu Dragneel. I haven't thought of the pink-haired boy since I left Magnolia 8 years ago, back when I was 10 years old, I wonder if he remembers me.

I remember that precious smile beam at me, it just seems as if only Natsu could pull up- and his determination in his eyes every second we fought. At the moment, I was in my car driving to Magnolia, I know but since I turned 18 a couple of weeks ago, I decided to move back to my old home, I saw the signs and saw I won't far from Magnolia only 1 more mile left, and soon enough I saw the big 'Welcome to Magnolia' sign as I drove by it.

I'm finally in Magnolia, I saw things change after the years- the last time I was here it was small shops everywhere, just a peaceful town- but now everything expanded, they were more buildings, shops, cafes, and much more.

I heard my stomach growl, so I decided to go eat at one of the many cafes there, I saw one that said "The Steam Room" I decided to get some coffee, I opened the door and saw it was cozy looking. I sat on the many stools and I saw my waitress which is a red hair woman, with a white apron and her name Erza on the name tag on the apron, she noticed me and quickly got"Hello sir, what can I get you?" I answer with a plain response, "Just some coffee that's fine."

She nodded, but as she was leaving she looked at me again and asked, "Sir- do I know you?" Her question was very bold, but furthermore, I analyzed my eyes over her, to see if I acknowledge anything: then I remembered the name tag her name is Erza, and it finally clicked- I knew her! I went to school with her back in elementary school, she was the sister to Natsu.

"Yes, I do- I'm Gray Fullbuster from elementary school." Erza's eyes widened, and over the table, she reached over the counter to hug me, "Nice to see you again, Gray." And in the hug, she was choking me. "Oh- Gray, Natsu is in the back if you want to see him." After she said she broke the hug- I immediately nodded I yearned to see my best friend, I want to see that smile again.

"Well, come on then." She allowed me to go behind the countertop, as I followed her to see my childhood friend, I saw the back, was a huge place- they're was people everywhere just moving.

I kept following Erza, and I saw she was taking me to a separate room, and inside was my best friend from years ago- Natsu Dragneel.

He seemed in thought, as he just sat there with his hands in his hair, Erza tapped him- he bolted up and saw me and he smiled. As he ran to me to cuddle me tightly, "Natsu, I missed you." seeing Erza remember she overlooked to tell me "Uh- Gray, Natsu is deaf, he can't hear you." I heard Erza explain so casually.

"What!" I yelled on top of my lungs- my best friend is deaf, I hugged him even tighter as tears fell out of my eyes from seeing him again.
