(I listened to this song while writing this, listen to it if you want to:))
I ran around, cackling to myself. I saw a corner and darted there, hiding in the shadows. Quitting myself I stood as still as I could. I heard footsteps coming from where I just was running, and Wally ran by. "Rob! If you're moving it's cheating! You're the last one anyways!" I stifled a laugh, determined not to give away my position. "What do you think you're doing?" I jumped a foot and a half. "Damian don't do that!" Wally spun around and laughed so hard he crumpled to the floor. That attracted the attention of the others, "Well Damian found Dick." Artemis sighed as she looked at the speedster on the floor. Tim helped calm down Wally while I pouted and the others were talking about random things. It was our day off, and so far things were going really well. Ever since we fought Killer Croc and the league was in the mountain we've gotten closer, even my brothers got close to the team. It turned out that the league was there because they were worried when the team hadn't contacted any of them in a while, and were about to set off to find us. After a long lecture we were let loose, but not without hugs and reassurance that we were fine. Batman has actually been giving me less solo missions, thanks to the team and my bros. So overall it's been better than ever around here. And to think that this all started when all we needed was simple backup. I smiled as I thought about that day. "Hey Rob! You going to play again or what?!" I was thrown out of my thoughts by Wally's voice. Him and the others were looking at me for an answer. "Yeah! Let's go!" I ran off again and the others followed my lead, leaving Wally to be the seeker again. I heard him groan again, and I laughed and smiled at the other from their spots. After a while he found us all, and when that finished we decided it was time for lunch. "Why don't we have a picnic?" Miss M. suggested. Superboy spoke up, "It's actually really nice out today." With that, a chorus of agreements, a half hour later, and a few bags full of food later, we were at the meadows near the mountain. We dug in, and Wally and I played frisbee after we ate a little. Some of the others joined in, resembling monkey in the middle with no powers involved. At sunset I sat on the blanket, almost ready to sleep, but not wanting the day to end. I felt arms wrap around me and it was Jason. "Thanks Jay, I kinda needed that." He smiled a little, "Anytime Dick." I smiled. The others were settling down now, all of us watching the sun set. I was the happiest I've been in a long time, with everyone here, and after everything we were still all here. There was nothing that could pull us apart. As a family, friends, a team, we were all...
