"for the last time i m saying, stop caling me suzy, i feel like a call girl or worse a hooker",suzannah fumed at the rest of dem. "hey den we can call you 'sleazy suzy',cool!!",rhea piped with her idea. if looks could kill, all of us will be going to rhea's funeral right now,manya thought looking at suzannah's furious face. the thing suzannah hated the most in the whole wide world was if anyone spoilt her name, so it was mandatory that all her friends take turns in spoiling it to whatever way they felt.this week's name was suzy."arre tera naam itna bada hai toh hum kya kare aur kya kharabi hai suzy mein",anaya asked,knowing full well what was wrong with this name."suzy!! tum logon ko aur koi naam nhn sujha aur chota hi karna hai toh call me zan, it's so much cooler",suzannah suggested."aey chalna,ek mills and boon mein kya tera naam aa gaya khud ko heroine samajhne lagi",tamanna joined in."accha yeh sab to chalta rahega,suzy tu shayad kuch order karne ja rahi thi ya bhul gayi,manya reminded her."dekh lungi tum sabko".

they were all seated in their favourite joint,bunty's which was their college canteen cum annadatta.they were all 3rd year dental students at one of the most prestigious dental schools in the country.anya,pari and suzannah were from jaipur,rhea and tamanna were from mumbai and manya was from delhi.when the mess food became more than unbearable,bunty's was the only place for their salvation.the whole group except for pari was seated around a table trying to get the limited supply of sun as much as possible to keepthemselves warm in the chilly january morning.it had been already decided that they were not going to go for their medical postings, as if that was a surprise,except for tamanna who rarely missed a class."where is pari by the way,i didn't see her after the lectures"."yeh rahi main, kaun yaad kar raha tha bhai mujhe",pari answered in a sing song voice."kahan reh gyi thi behen,hamare saath hi toh nikli thi",rhea asked."arre kuch kaam yaad aa gaya tha, aisa koi baat nahin hai",pari answered dismissively."hey suzy,mere liye bhi kuch order kar dena".suzannah turned from the counter and shouted from there only,"abhi kya bola tha maine,jao main tum sab se baat nahin karti".all of them looked at her and said together,"haye hum darr gaye".before suzzah could react, she saw who entered the canteen and her face instantly turned red."ohho,dekho toh zara kaun aaya hai, ab suzy darling kahan kuch kha payegi",anaya said.the new entry was Dr.Karan mathur,suzzanah's crush or as she liked to refer to him as 'the apple of her eye'.he was a postgraduate orthodontic student in their college and had met suzzanah first when she went to him to get her smile properly aligned.little did she know that she was also going to her heart aligned towards him too.the teasing session started as soon as suzzanah seated herself with them,first to start was of course,rhea"aiy dekhna suzy tera carlo aa gya","stop it guys, he could hear you and i have an appointment with him today."ohh, tabhi toh main sochi ki suzy aaj roz se kam kyun gusse mein hain,saiyyan se milne jo jaana hai",manya joined."accha tum logon ka to yeh chalta hi rahega main nikalti hun mujhe late ho jayega" and tamanna went off for her posting."main bhi nikalti hun,mujhe scooty mein petrol dalwana hai" and pari also flew away having finished the sandwich suzannah brought for her in quick bites."tum logon ko kya milta hai mujhe subah subah pareshan karke,kabhi toh akela chod diya karo,aakhir maine bigada kya hai tumhara"."oh, meena kumari,tere dialogues nahin khatm honge na kabhi,pata nahin kitna mota stock chupa ke bethi hai,har baar naya tayyar rehta hai",anaya said.

"arre kya yaar,chodo na yeh sab,roz ka hai yeh,chalo sabka khana ho gaya ho to hum hostel chale neend aa rahi hai",manya said.everybody got ready to go and haven't even reached the gate when another new entry came which forced manya to halt in her track and her friends teasing antennas to go into full action.siddharth was coming inside the canteen with his friends.siddharth was an intern in their college and very old family friend of manya's.since he was one of very few guys manya talked to,her friends didn't leave a single moment to tease her on it and it didn't help that he was one of the smartest guys in their college. he saw her before she could do anything about it,"hey,manya how you doing,itni subah yahan kaise"."wahi jo aap karne aaye ho sir,faraq itna main kar chuki aur aap ab karoge",manya said."hey c,mon yaar,dont call me sir,i feel so old"."can't help it sir,college rules"."tum nahin sudhrogi haina ?"sid asked her with a look on his face that said that he could never win with her.seeing that her friends all had meaningful looks and smug smiles on thier faces,manya hastely said goodbye to him and rushed them out of the canteen before they could get anymore matter to tease her with then they already had."aaj to sleazy suzy ke saath kisi aur ka bhi din ban gaya",rhea and anya piped in together as soon as they were out."oh god! guys,how many times do i have to tell you,i dont have that kind of feelings for him."have you looked at him closely,manu,the guy is a hunk,you cannot be possibly not affected from him and be friends with him,i know i can't."anya said."and what about that dream you had about him,tell me now that you dont have feelings for him".rhea said."that was just because you were going on and on about him the whole day and i had nothing else on my mind before going to sleep"."you can say anything you want but we know the truth",suzannah joined in.manya let out a deafeted sigh.it was difficult to win on this subject with her friends,so she let it go before it made her crazy."look he has been like my family for ages,he's almost like a brother to me"."haan lekin hain toh nahin na,aur feelings badalte der nhnn lagti",rhea said with her usual confidence with the 'matters of the heart'.manya could only look at her incredously and shake her head."chalo accha hai sid sir dikh gaye,tumhara mujh par se dhyan to gaya",suzzanah said happily."aww,my pyari roommate was feeling left alone,koi baat nahin sleazy suzy main tujhe room mein chalkar jitna tu bolegi utna ched dungi."anya siad while linking her hands with suzannah."arrre yaar,phir shuru ho gaye tum log".cried suzannah.manya was only too happy that the topic of attention had changed because she didnt want to dwell on thoughts about siddharth for long.they were dangerous thoughts and made her think things which were best left forgotten.after her friends came to know of her friendshid with sid and had started tesing her about it, she had started to look at him in a totally different light which was very unsettling for har and not before long, she had developed a crush on him.she couldn't admit that to her friends or she would not hear the end of it,so she tried to hide it as much as possible.this train of thoughts was quite useless because she knew a guy like sid can never look at her in any other way than as a sister and she didn't want that.so she tried to ignore the butterflies in her stomach evrytime he looked her way or smiled at her or talked to her.all of them will have a gala time if they knew what was going on in my mind right now, manya thought.she had to keep her thoughts and feelings to herself if she wanted to continue her friendship with sid and specially if she wanted to live peacefully amongst her loving friends.
