"Congratulations tributes on surviving the first day! And boy, wasn't that a riviting bloodbath to start off the first Quarter Quell? So now let's get down to business. Every day a new muttation will be released through out the arena, hunting for your blood. I suggest you dig yourself a hole or hide in the mountains if you want to live! We will give a warning telling you when and where it will be unleashed. So when you hear my voice, get ready to move to another location!
Another exciting announcement is that the arena will turn every single source of light in the arena OFF. Now don't panick. The Capitol has generously offered night vision goggles at the cornucopia. In one hour the arena will begin its darkening process. The goggles will be hidden in a random area of the clearing; but get yours quick because there are only so many. Good luck and may the odds be ever in your favor!
Another announcement: The muttation for the day will be released in the mouth of the cornucopia in one hour. "
Really!? The Capitol has weeks to keep these games going and they choose to end it so quickly? Anyways I need to get near to the cornucopia so I may get those goggles. Or should I just let some other kids die off so I could easily access them?
I then stuff my supplies into one backpack and keep a quick, walking pace to the clearing of the cornucopia.
