The 25th Hunger Games

Chapter 4: The race for

        I reach the cornucopia. I lied down on my stomach and searched for other tributes hiding around the clearing. Due to my relatively bad vision, I couldn't see anyone. I found a small, tall table with a few black goggles. I locked my eyes on them and waited for the first person to try and get a pair.

Suddenly I saw the boy from 7 sprint to the table and grab a pair of goggles and sprint off. He looked back and ran away. Piper jumped out of her hole and began to chase him. About 4 people ran for the table at the same time including me, the tributes from district 1, and a boy from 4. They reach it first and Hector threw his spear at a boy about 20 feet away from him, piercing his stomach.

         I grab some goggles and try to run away. But the District 1 girl, Blaze, pinned me to the ground and held up her small axe, preparing to bruttaly murder me. Hector stops her and he and her both stare down at me with grins, for I had been the kill they have been ever so eager for. 

        Eloy sees me about to die and grabs Blaze and slits her throat with her sythe. I escape and Hector throws his double sided spear into her neck. As I am running away, I look back and Hector and Piper are slicing away at the kids trying to get the goggles.

As I find a good place to hide in, I see the hovercraft drop in a massive monster right by the cornucopia. It looked like a bear with large horns and sharp claws. It saw me and began to chase me. I ran away, but due to its speed, the monster quickly caught up to me. I quickly climbed a tree in the middle of the clearing as the monster clawed at me ankles. I got up on the highest branch and waited for it to leave me.

I saw about 6 tributes lie dead on the ground. Blood spattered all around them, as the 2 remaining careers smiled and filled up their backpacks with any more needed supplies.
