"Let not fear drive your spirits, Elyxis!" ordered Lord Jyun atop his Pegasus and clad in a rich golden armor with metal rings linked and fashioned by an expert smith, as the opposing army, bred and trained by the Dark Lord Essem, approached their gates and surrounded the rest of the palace walls, sieging them in.

"Show no mercy, for tonight, we shall have peace!" then turning around to face his soldiers, arrows readily set for fire into their bows and swords waiting to be unsheathed at their belts, "Elyxion shall be free from the hands of this villainous soul!"

From his carriage halted front-faced the gates and pulled by two colossal Barghests bearing their enormous fangs and scratching the soil with their razor-sharp claws like a horse ready to charge, Essem expressed a chuckle and looked at Jyun through the metal bars and across the dusty castle court.

"This is your last chance, Jyun," the Prince of Darkness adjured, "surrender her at once, otherwise your people and kingdom will suffer greatly and needlessly by your own faults."

The Elf-King did not shudder nor did he fret. He stood his ground and appeased the growing anger threatening to shake his calm demeanor despite this time of war.

"You have no request to make upon me, Essem," he sternly and assiduously responded, and with the same intensity of the gaze that Essem stared at him with. "If you dare come near her, I will send you to the abyss from whence you came!"

Essem huffed to himself in a presumptuous breath of air, one corner of his mouth slightly lifting and his eyes narrowing smugly.

"What a pity. In that case, you both shall perish tonight, and so will all on your land."

Stone trolls of immeasurable size and rocky carapaces stomped beside their leader, pounding their heavy metal hammers against the ground, shaking it like a disastrous earthquake emerging from the great depths of the planet and causing all life to tremble like leaves in an endless autumn wind.

With nothing more than a sign of the head, Essem ordered, "break down the gates."

The trolls proceeded towards the iron bars, lifted their weapons and hammered vigorously, creating a thundering clamor, with each blow promising to bust the gates open.

On the other side, Jyun drew his sword and held it high in the air, letting the lustre of the moon shine upon it in a twinkle of light. The kingly horse divaricated its long, feathered wings and lifted its forelegs off the ground in a majestic rear kick.

The trolls continued banging against the barrier, with the roars and screeches of the beasts behind them and behind the Redey Elves piercing against the deafening tumult of the hammers on metal.

Jyun rotated his head and directed his speech towards another Elf; a female, dressed in a dark-green cloak and equally dark-green leggings and pull, with a silver armor protecting nothing but her upper torso and calves. Her long hair was of a caramel brown and tangled into a messy braid down her back. She was armed with her bow and arrow, sharp daggers and a slick sword tied onto her vined belt.

"Taura, position your company along the walls, leave the Elementis in the front lines. The griffins and riders will attack from above... I want you to stay by my Lady's side," Lord Jyun divulged to her in a low voice.
