»Paris's POV«
Eudora is still ignoring me. Yesterday she was obviously upset about something but clearly she would rather talk to anyone else about it but me. It seems like I'm the last person on her list that she wants to talk to and I have no idea why.
Yesterday, after she shrugged my arm off of her shoulders I decided to let her cool off a bit. I walked ahead and she walked behind. I knew if I asked her what's wrong she would get even more ticked.
But still, after countless tries yesterday and today of trying to change her mood. Nothing.
What hurts the most is when her and Zane are laughing and carrying on and I walk into the room, it's like the atmosphere just drops. Her mood totally changes when she sees me. That hurts a lot because now instead of being her source of laughter and am now her source of anger.
I need to know what's going on.
I walk into Eudora's room to find her and Zane in the floor playing a board game. Our favorite board game.
They both look at me before Eudora looks back at the game. "It's your turn." She says to him, ignoring my presence.
Zane looks at me before looking at Eudora and moving his game piece.
"Zane, can I talk to Eudora in private?" I ask and he nods and starts to get up.
Eudora says, without looking at either one of us, "No, Zane. Stay." She's already agitated.
Zane's eyes widen a bit before he slowly sits back down, he clearly does not want to be in this situation right now.
I sigh a little, "Alright." I say before asking, "What's wrong?"
Two of the most simple words that mean so much.
She looks up from the board game and stares at me in the eyes with not one word coming out of her mouth. She just stares at me.
My shoulders slump, "What have I done?" I ask and my voice cracks a little. I want to be strong but what's the point.
She glares at me. Looking me up and down from head to toe with a glare I've never seen from her. I've never seen a glare like this from anyone. It makes me want to run and hide.
"You should know." Is all she says.
"But I don't! We were playing hide and seek and then suddenly. ."
Realisation hits me like a bag of bricks.
Oh how I'd rather be hit with a bag of bricks just to end it already.
"You seen me and Ashton. Not only did you see us, you heard our conversation." I say.
Zane's face turns to confusion as he looks between Eudora and I.
She nods before asking, "What are y'all?"
My eyes widen a little at her statement. I know my sister very well and I can tell when she is thinking something. She thinks Ashton and I are friends with benefits.
"Do you seriously think I would do that? Be friends with benefits with someone?" I ask without being able to control the little bit of anger in my tone.
"Honestly, I don't know anymore." She replies.
I frown and say, "No. Ashton and I are together. We're dating."
Zane's eyes widen in shock and surprise. Eudora's eyes flash with sadness before the familiar glare comes back into them.
"If you think I don't care about you for not telling you about this, your wrong." I state.
