We hopped out the car and I grabbed my book bag. I tried pulling my crop top down because I felt eyes staring at me. I turned around and saw Brian with his face expressionless and his jaw clenched. He did that sexy move where he ran his fingers through his hair. When he realized l was staring at him he smiled and gently grabbed my hand. He kissed my hand and looked at me and smiled. I smiled back and we walked hand in hand.

"Look at them--oh nah, gosh he likes black girls...oh shit! You know Lexi gonna be mad."

I tried to bend my head further down, boy if I did, I would bust my head open.

Like a gentlemen, Brian opened the door for me. I smiled at him, trying to assure him that I could make it through the day all right.

"Brian, I'll you meet in class. I'm going to look for Zaria- she must be worried about me." I lowered my eyes to the ground, trying to avoid eye contact.

"Are you sure....cause' I can just....."

"No it's ok," I said cutting him off.

His face expression showed that he was worried and confused.

I tiptoed and quickly gave him a peck on the cheek.

I walked towards my locker really fast and was glad to see Zaria standing there with a Caramel Frappe and strawberries.

I attempted to take the drink out of her hand but she quickly grabbed it back.

"So, how was the party?!!?" she exclaimed.

"It was...interesting," I said while plucking a strawberry into my mouth. I grabbed the books that I needed, closed the locker and leaned on it with a tired expression in my face.

"Ring Ring"

The bell signaled that if was time for first period and that we would have to finish this conversation later.

"I'll talk to you later Zaria. Love you!" I shouted, while taking the drink out of her
hand and planting a sloppy kiss on her cheek.

"Whatever hoe!!" she shouted while wiping my saliva off of her face.

I speeded down the hall way, apologizing and saying "excuse me" to people I knocked down.

"Damn, I don't want to get deten---bam!"
Suddenly, I felt all the wind knocked out of me and everything went black.

"Her eyes are opening," I heard a low voice say.

My vision was blurry and I felt a strange pounding in my head.

"What happened?"

"You had a pretty hard fall, honey. Next time you need to be careful. Luckily, when you fell, you fell on your hands," a lady in white scolded.

"Here, put this ice pack on your head to lower the swelling."

I mumbled "thank you" and rested the ice pack on my head. I turned to my left to see a worried Brian.

"Your such a klutz," he said jokingly.

I slapped him on his arm and he faked hurt.

"Whatever, all I remember was running to class and then just blacking out." I mumbled.

"Yea some stupid kid wasn't watching where he was going and pushed you," Brian spat.

I got up and noticed that their were bruises all over his knuckles and their was bruise under his eyes.
