Two days later, Sienna and Luke were on their way to McLean. It was Sienna's time to get interrogated by the police. The car ride was awfully silent and Luke could see that his daughter was nervous, but he did not know what to say to ease her mind.
The night after Luke had picked her up from Matt's place was the worst ever after the happening of the accident. Nightmares plagued her sleep and she would wake up every 1 to 2 hour screaming and crying. Luke had always been there right by her side just like he had promised. Eventually, the broken girl fell back asleep, clutching tightly onto her Dad for comfort. The agent had taken the next three days off, so he could be there for his little girl. The next day, he had tried to talk to her about what Matt had told him.
At first, Sienna was angry that Simmons had betrayed her trust like that. But then, she understood why he had told her Dad. He was concerned, the whole team was. So she told her Dad what she had told Matt the night before. She couldn't bear looking at him while doing so. Luke had reassured her that he would be with her now and forever and somehow, this seemed to be enough for her. She believed him. Then followed the worst part of the day: Luke had to tell his daughter that she needed to talk to the police about the accident the following day. At first, she took it well, but it ended in her having a panic attack and Luke had a hard time calming her down. Eventually, she did and she realized that ther was no way around it. She just hoped that it would be the last time she had to deal with the police in her former hometown.
And here they were, in the car and on their way to McLean.
"What's going on in that head of yours?", Luke suddenly asked, interrupting the uncomfortable silence.
Sienna, who had been staring out of the window the whole ride, slowly turned her head towards her father.
"Oh, nothing. I'm fine.", she tried to reassure him, underlining her statement with a little smile.
"Liar.", Luke laughed, trying to lift up the mood a bit and indeed, his daughter started to laugh too. He had never been more happy than in this little moment which sadly did not last too long but it was a beginning. Sienna sighed as she looked down at her fidgeting hands.
"Maybe I'm a little nervous.", she admitted shyly.
"It's gonna be okay, sunshine. You can stop whenever you want plus I'm gonna be there the whole time.", Luke said to his daughter as he carefully glanced over to her.
"I-I know, it's just...I'm scared that I'll screw up or that I'm not much of a help and that this guy gets away with it."
"He won't, Sienna. I'll make sure of that. And you won't screw up. Don't put yourself under that pressure. You won't let anybody down, indeed your Mom would be so proud of you right now and so am I. Just tell them what you know and everything will be just fine, okay?", Luke asked as he parked the car in front of the police department.
"Yeah...okay...thank you!", she replied, smiling at her father and feeling thankful that she hasn't had to do this alone.
"Anything for you, princess.", Luke smiled as he leaned over and pressed a light kiss on her forehead, "you're ready?"
"As ready as one can be. Let's get over with it.", the girl answered before the both of them exited the car. Sienna waited for her Dad to join her at her side and when he did, she grabbed his right arm and held onto him for dear life as they entered the building.

"Hello, Agent Alvez. Good to see you again. And you must be Sienna. I'm Detective Vertes.", the young detective greeted the couple which had been waiting for him in the lobby of the department. Sienna just nodded at him while they shook hands.
"Thank you for coming her today. I'm really sorry for your loss."
"Thanks.", the young girl whispered as she held onto her Dad tighter.
"Why don't we head over to my office so we can talk in private?", Detective Vertes suggested.
"Can my Dad cometoo, please?", the girl quickly asked. She didn't want to do this alone.
"Of course, whatever you need. Why don't you go ahead and take a seat? I'll be there soon."
"Thank you!", Luke replied as he guided his daughter towards the detectives office.
On the way there, they saw a familiar person who had also seemed to have been brought in for questioning. Sienna immediatley started to walk faster and shielded her face, but it was too late.
"Sienna...", a voice could be heard and it immediatley send a shiver down her spine.
"Hey Scott...", the girl said through gritted teeth.
"How are you holding up?"
"I'm good, but I have to go now.", Sienna said and rushed away, before he could follow her. LUke just looked confused between them from one to another before he decided to let it go and follow his daughter.
"You're alright?", he asked concerned as he sat down beside Sienna who was sat on a small sofa.
"Ehmmmm, yeah. I just wasn't in the mood to talk to him.", she replied and once again, Luke decided to drop the topic, for now at least.
