Genesis
"Would y'all leave me alone". I yelled to my brothers as all of them came barging in my room. Having five older brothers in the house is irritating as fuck. All they do is joke around and mess with me. I need quiet time and I can't get it in a household of 9 kids.
"Damn I just came to ask you how school was today". Brandon laughed as him, Nissan, Kayden, and Taylin flopped on my bed.
"You got me in trouble how could it possibly been any good". I scoffed.
"What you did Brandon". Kayden laughed as he pulled my hair.
"Stop touching my hair. You guys are irritating". I rolled my eyes.
"Damn who pissed in your cereal this morning". Nissan said as he was flipping channels on my tv.
"All I ask for is privacy and I can never get that". I said to myself.
"Ain't no privacy in this damn house". Brandon yelled.
"STOP CUSSING". my mama yelled from downstairs.
It was Tuesday afternoon and I just got out of school. After finishing my homework I wanted to FaceTime my boyfriend but my brothers wouldn't leave my room so I had to wait awhile.
"Bae text you". Kayden said as he was looking down at my phone.
I quickly snatched my phone from them and stormed downstairs to see my mama and daddy being nasty. But once they seen me they pulled away from their kiss.
"Wassup baby girl". My daddy asked me once he seen I had a frown on my face.
"Dad the boys keep messing with me. I have no privacy without them all up in my space". I complained.
"I can relate". My momma said bluntly.
"They're annoying dad". I whined.
"They're annoying dad". Taylin mocked me as him and Kayden walked in the kitchen.
"See what I'm talking about". I stomped my feet.
"Aye can y'all please leave y'all sister alone cant you see she doesn't wanna be bothered by y'all". My daddy said.
"She just want us to stop messing with her so she can call that nigga". Kayden scoffed.
"If that's the case keep messing with her". My dad said before heading out the kitchen.
"Well leave you alone for a while so you can call your little friend". Taylin said.
"Boyfriend". I corrected him.
"Whatever". Him and Taylin mumbled as they walked out the kitchen.
"Hey mommy". I said walking up beside my mama as she was cooking on the stove.
"What you want now genesis". My momma asked me with a smirked.
"Who said I wanted something". I playfully laughed.
"Girl when you want something you call me mommy instead of momma". She started with a laugh.
"Can Ash, Armani, and Alexis spend a night Saturday night". I asked her.
"Its fine with me. Its go be hard to get your brothers to behave themselves. You sure Alexis need to be here. She's pregnant and I don't want nothing bad happening to her". My mama said with concern.
"She told me she'll be fine". I told her.
"Ok its fine with me". My mama shrugged.
I kissed my mama cheek and walked upstairs to my room and seen it was empty. I blew a sigh of relief before closing and locking my door something I should do more often.
I grabbed my iPhone 8 and was about to call Rodney but I didn't feel like arguing with him. Lately all we do is argue. We barely hang out anymore, we barely see each other. We use to always see each other. But he's just been distant lately. Me and Rodney has been dating since I was in 8th grade and now I'm in the 11th grade. He's my first love and I don't want Three years to go to waste.
I decided to call him anyway to call him anyway just because I miss us. I really needed to talk to him.
"Hello." He answered on the third ring tone.
"Hey Genesis". He replied dryly.
"I need to talk to you". I nervously said as I played with my nails.
"Wassup".
"What happen to us. We use to be so close. We use to do everything together. What happened to when you use to call me baby all the times. What happened to when you use to hug and kiss me all the time. What happened to when you use to be happy to see me. Everything has changed. You changed. You don't send me paragraphs anymore, you don't talk to me like you use to. You don't look at me the same anymore. I just want to know what happened". I said as tears was coming down from my eyes.
"Look let me be real with you. I need to see you in Person". He told me.
"Ok where to meet at". I asked him.
"Meet me at IHOP on Johnson street". He replied before hanging up.
I grabbed my jacket and slid my shoes on before heading to Taylin room.
"Taylin can you take me to IHOP please". I asked him.
"Yeah come on". He got up from the bed and put his slides on and grabbed his keys and wallet before walking towards me.
About thirty minutes later we pulled up at IHOP. Taylin waited for me in the car while I went inside. I spotted Rodney and Some girl sitting together and I walked over to them and sat at the booth across from them.
"Wassup". I asked him as I looked at the two of them close together.
"Look Genesis the reason I been distant towards you lately is because I don't love you anymore". It felt like my heart shattered into pieces. Never would I ever hear those words come out of his mouth. I didn't know what I was feeling. My chest felt weird.
"W-what you mean". I asked trying not to break down.
He looked over to the girl and the way he looked at her was the way he looked at me but this time he looked at her better than he did with me.
"I wanna break up". He said before reaching over to the girl and giving her a kiss on the lips.
He did it right in front of me and that literally broke my heart.
"Sorry boo but he wants me". She smiled as she hugged him and he hugged her back.
I quickly got up and stormed out of IHOP as soon as I made it outside I broke down crying.
I couldn't believe what just happened to me. I didn't know what to do. All I could do was cry. My chest was hurting bad, my head was pounding and I was feeling dizzy. I felt someone pick me up and I seen it was Taylin. I grabbed onto his neck tightly and started crying on his chest.
"Bruh who hurt my sister on god they go have to square the fuck up." My brother yelled out.
"H-he B-broke my heart". I screamed as tears was coming down my face.
"Rodney". He asked me.
"H-he kissed her in front of me". I cried.
My brother placed me in the car and I laid my head back on the headrest and tried to calm myself down but it was no use.
"I'm going to kill that nigga and that's on me". Taylin yelled before driving off.
