Marcy, Jill, and Edgar an open-air market, which the people of this world seem to prefer over enclosed malls or supermarkets. Wooden merchant stalls line the paths, some selling fresh, ripe produce, a few filled to the brim with bright, intricate fabrics, and other interesting bits and baubles. The group makes their way from stall to stall, until coming across a specific dealer selling charms. From the shadows a pair of luminous yellow eyes watches patiently, like a hawk stalking its prey.
Marcy's POV~~~
"Alright girls, this is the last stop!" Edgar exclaims loudly. I look to him, a look of puzzlement etched onto my face. "Why are we buying charms?" I ask, turning my head to inspect them. Looking closer at them, they are quite beautiful. One is a swirly silver heart with a sparkling pink diamond in the middle, another a simple gold locket with designs etched on its surface. But my eyes were drawn to something in particular. It was a feather, but more specifically, a metal one. Each individual feather was made of black matte metal, almost seemingly to be real. It was simple, but reminded me of Romulus. I looked to my right shoulder where Romulus sat, gazing at the same charm intensely. The stall keeper saw me looking apparently and started to talk to me. "Ah, I see you were looking at the feather charm! It's said that the raven feather is a sign of order and leadership, having a calming effect. I'll give it to you for 20 Quincies." I look to Edgar, silently pleading. "Of course! You both get a charm!" Edgar says happily. Jill starts to get excited once again and points to a small silver bracelet with a tiny silver mouse charm. "I want that one!" Jill says while pointing to it in an exaggerated way. We give the man his Quincies and start on our way, our charms attached to bracelets around our wrists. Suddenly a loud bang is heard, almost like a firework, and only mere seconds later all hell breaks loose. People start running around screaming. I soon loose Edgar and Jill in the mess, and I eventually see what started the commotion. There, laying on the dirt ground, was a man. A pool of blood was growling larger by the second around him, trickling down his head from the large hole going through the man's cranium. I stare in horror until I realize I lost Jill. "JILL! JILL!" I yell, panicked. Suddenly, my wrist is grabbed and I feel myself being dragged through the masses. Eventually we turn a corner and sit down behind a wall. I turn my head to see a boy around my age. He has shaggy black hair, jeans, a brown jacket, and a plain white shirt on. But the most striking feature is his piercing golden eyes. "Who-" "SHHH" He whispers in a quiet voice, hand covering my mouth. I hear voices and footsteps. Soon dressed in all black carrying large guns pass us. My eyes widen in realization. He just saved me. He removes his hand and looks at me. "Thanks..." I barely mange to breath out. Suddenly I hear my name being called by a high-pitched feminine voice. "MARCYYYYY!" My head turns around at light speed. Jill! I get up and start running towards it, the boy trailing behind me confused. I finally see a glimpse of pink and brown. Jill turns and sees me, her eyes red from crying. I crouch down and stretch my arms out. "MARCYYYYY!" Jill cries as she rushes over and jumps into my arms. "I was so scared!" She exclaims. I hear a cough behind us. I turn to see Edgar smiling. "Edgar! YAYYYY! Now we're all together!" Jill yells, throwing her arms into the air. "Thank you, um..." I say to the boy, trailing off. "Ian. Ian Blackheart." Ian says, looking uncomfortable. "Thank you for saving me." I say gratefully. He opens his mouth to say something when suddenly a raspy growl is heard. We all turn our heads to see what could only be described as a creature formed by Hades. Pitch black like the night, a mess of fur, spikes, teeth, and claws. The only clear, visible feature was its pale, yellow moonlight-esque eyes. It was growling lowly, poised and ready to attack at seemingly any moment. And then, it happened. In only a moment we were flung into an intense battle, a mess of claws and limbs flying about, trying to survive. Then Jill got hit. Love-Struck, or as she calls her, LoLo, was flung away by the creature, sending Jill to chase after her. The creature realized she was the weakest and decided to try to take her out. It clawed her in the back, sending her flying along with LoLo. I suddenly felt an immense anger swelling inside me. NO ONE hits my sister and gets away with it. A ball of black and purple energy formed in my hand, crackling with intensity and danger. Romulus was clawing at the creatures eyes when he got hit to. I felt so angered and threw the sphere at the monster, yelling as I did so. It seemed like the sphere electrocuted to beast, causing it to have violent spasms before collapsing, breathing its last breath. I was panting hard, looking around me, everyone gawking at me, slack-jawed. Jill walked over to me with LoLo. They were completely unharmed. "Wha-? How?" I asked incredulously. "Apparently LoLo can heal people!" Jill said happily. I stared wide eyed at this small mouse who had just healed my sister and herself. Then Ian spoke. "Wait, you guys are witches?!" Ian yelled out surprised. "Yeah, and I can frigging electrocute people. SICK!" I yelled, hyped up. Then I realized what he said. "Wait, you're not a witch too?" I asked, puzzled. He moves his shaggy hair away from his ears, showing fluffy, dark purple wolf ears facing downwards so they wouldn't poke out through his hair. "No, I'm a werewolf." I looked at, my face contorted into something of pure confusion and shock. ".........wait, WHAT?!"???'s POV~~~
I sneered at the crystal ball, waving my hand over it to make the image dissipate. "Curses!" I scream loudly. I slam my hand on the table, making potion bottles filled with glowing liquids of all colors jump at the sudden force. "So, they want to play the game that way huh?" I look at the crystal ball in a sideways glance, my scowl deepening. I speak in a low, dangerous tone. "So be it."AAAAAAAAND SCENE! Thanks for reading guys! I hope you liked it!
