❤School Closing❤

~Kyle~

"Jae please," You whined, swatting your best friends hand, "I have to study."

Kyle sighed, "You're always studying! It's bad for you ya know? You need to take a break."

"The only break I need is summer break." You replied, not looking up from your Algebra notes.

"We should go for a walk!" He suggested, sitting up from his previous position.

"I have a test tomorrow, besides it's too cold."

"Come on JJ~ We can go get some snacks and watch a movie!"

"Jae, I'm too busy for a movie.." You mumbled, still not looking at the male.

Kyle sighed and leaned his back against the baby blue leather couch that adorned your small shared apartment.

You and Kyle have been best friends since elementary school, you were in second grade and he was in fourth. You met during lunch and were friends ever since.

Now you both were in highschool, you're a sophomore and Kyle is a senior.

You take your studies very seriously, but Kyle just wings it every time. How he ever passed was a mystery to you.

The both of you decided to share an apartment together so you would stay close after Kyle graduated from school, the baby blue couch was your idea.

Your studies were interrupted by an abrupt ringtone echoing through your ears. You looked over at your home phone and picked up, "Hello?"

You sighed heavily as the message of a school closing rang through your ear.

Great.

You hung up the phone and packed up your notes.

"What was that?" Kyle questioned, hinting at the phone.

"School is closed for tomorrow, which means I don't have a test."

"Does this mean we can watch a movie?" Kyle asked you, as he watched you walk into your room and walk out without your notes.

"I guess so."

Kyle smiled in victory, and chuckled. "So what should we watch?" You questioned.

"First things first," Kyle said, standing up, "we need snacks and drinks."

Kyle walked over to the front door and slipped on his shoes, "Are you coming or not?" He questioned.

You sighed once again and mocked Kyle's actions. You slipped on your shoes, put on your coat, and slipped on your hat and gloves.

You and Kyle walked out of your apartment and out into the cool, crisp, winter air.

The sky was cloudy and dark, but beautiful white snowflakes adorned the darkness.

Kyle walked on your left, making sure you stood away from the road. He had his hands resting in his pockets, staring up at the evening sky.

The two of you walked to the convenience store, just around the corner from your apartment.

The ring bell rang out as you walked through the door. Kyle decided he'd get the snacks, and you got the drinks.

"Jae," you called out from the drink aisle. "Yeah?" You heard him reply. "Strawberry or Orange?"

"Get Strawberry."

You grabbed two liters of Strawberry soda and then grabbed a Cherry Pepsi followed by Code Red Mtn Dew.

You and Kyle met up at the front counter to pay for your things.

From behind, you heard the sound of an elderly couple bickering.

A few seconds later an elderly woman, the one that had bickering with her husband previously, came up to you and Kyle.

"I remember when my husband and I were young like you two, he and I were so in love but now he just drives me crazy. I hope you two remain the same, you're a lovely couple."

As you opened your mouth the say something, Kyle had beat you to it.

"Thank you very much ma'am, I hope we remain the same as well."

Kyle smiled largely and nudged you, "Let's go girlfriend~" He cooed, wrapping his arms around yours.

You followed close to him out of the store where he began to chuckle, "Wow, that old lady thought we were together!" You noticed his wide smile, and his pink cheeks.

Kyle looked over at you and sighed in content, "We do make a pretty cute couple, don't we?"

You giggled, "In your dreams."

"I will make sure to dream of it then~"
