❤ Collaboration Nerves❤

~Kihyun~

You could feel the sweat bead on your forehead, and your hands become clammy. Your nerves began kicking in as you stared up at the large building in front of you.

Today you would be meeting, and working with your idol, Yoo Kihyun of Monsta X. After months of being contacted by Starship you finally agreed to collaborate with an artist, ironically enough you accepted just in time to be placed with Kihyun.

You took a deep breath and stepped through the large double doors and right up to the front desk. You asked for Kihyun's studio number and identified yourself.

The secretary gave you his studio and you went on your way all the way up to the fifth floor. Your mind clouded with thoughts and your stomach clenched as you arrived face to face with the door to studio 5A, Kihyun's studio.

You could hear the faint sound of music from behind the door, along with the sound of a voice singing to the instrumental. You knew that voice all too well.

Your hand balled into a fist and fell on the door, knocking twice.

The music from the other side came to a stop and the door was opened slowly. You felt weak at the knees when you met with the face of Yoo Kihyun himself.

His slick pink lips curled up into a smile, "Jihyun? Jung Jihyun?" He questioned, his eyes shining.

"Yeah, that'll be me." You replied, a small smile forming on your face.

"Come in!" Kihyun exclaimed with a small hop, he stepped to the side and held the door for you as you walked in.

Your eyes widened at the room, soft pinks sat upon the walls that were lined with shelves of figurines and plushies. Adjacent to Kihyun's desk sat a large bookcase filled with records and albums, accompanied by a record player.

"I never took you for much of a vintage guy.." You said as you looked around, your eyes glancing upon an earlier model Polaroid camera.

"Yeah?" Kihyun chuckled softly, making his way to his desk. "Honestly I just like the aesthetic of it all."

Kihyun gave you a small smile and patted the seat next to his. You couldn't bring yourself to believe that you were really right here with him, about to sing-

Wait a minute.. you were going to sing.

Your nerves got the best of you as you sat down, your hands fidgeting. Kihyun took notice.

"Are you nervous?" He asked, his voice soft. "Yes, extremely.. I've never collaborated with another artist before, let alone someone I admire.."

Kihyun's eyes lit up as he smiled brightly, "Awwwh that's sweet." Kihyun chuckled, "There's nothing to be nervous about, okay? I get nervous sometimes too, in fact, I'm nervous right now.."

"Why are you nervous?" You questioned, cocking your head. "Well I'm sitting with the prettiest girl I've ever seen who also happens to be one of the most talented people I've ever witnessed."

Kihyun smiled once again and you felt your cheeks heat up, he really is a charmer.

It was about 3:42 am when you and Kihyun had finished the first verse and partial of the chorus after hours and hours of writing and singing. You were completely exhausted.

Kihyun had offered to take you home since you had taken a taxi all the way from your apartment. You accepted and guided him to your home.

When he pulled into the parking lot you couldn't help but feel a little disappointed that the day had gone so fast. You gave Kihyun a small smile, "Thank you for taking me home."

"It was nothing, I wouldn't just let you walk home alone."

You smiled with a nod and opened the passenger door, stepping out of the car. You slowly made your way to your front door when there was a tap on your shoulder.

You turned around, meeting Kihyun. "I just remembered you don't have my number so here, call me or text me anytime."

You smiled once more and took the small slip of paper, "Thanks, I'll see you Tomorrow."

Kihyun nodded, "See you." He smiled.

You opened the front door and took a step inside only to step back out and peck Kihyun's cheek. You quickly rushed back into your apartment building, not daring to look back.

Little did you know how badly Kihyun was blushing.
