Screams where all Adeline and Ezra heard from their place in the kitchen, each holding a cup of coffee, the clock reading 10:00 a.m. Adeline sighed as she took a sip of her beverage, savoring the taste before her morning was bombarded by her daughter.

"We had to have three teenage girls, didn't we?" Ezra asked, tried in his eyes as he sips his coffee as well. Adeline smiled softly at her husband.

"It seemed like a good idea at the time." Adeline teased before placing her cup down, walking over to him. He wrapped his arms around her waist immediately, pulling her close. The two holding each other in silence.

"Mom!" A high-pitched screech was heard from the staircase off the side of the kitchen. Adeline sighed before leaving her husband's warm embrace.

"It's too early for this, my god." Adeline mumbled under her breathe. Ezra chuckled from his spot at the stove, as he began making breakfast. The sound of feet pounding down the stair were heard, and soon two girls rushed into the kitchen.

"Skylar took my leather jacket." Cora, the eldest of her children, spoke frustrated. Before Adeline could comment, her other daughter did.

"You weren't even going to use it." Skylar, the middle child, fired back at her sister.

"Still, you cannot just take it without asking me, you know that's my favorite jacket." Cora argued and soon it was a full-blown screaming match once again. In the middle of the argument, Hazel, the youngest, quietly walked into the room, sitting at the bar, where her father set down a plate of food. Adeline kissed her youngest's head in greeting before turning back to the other two, who were still going back and forth about this jacket.

"Girls" Adeline tried, but they continued. Ezra saw his wife losing patience and sighed heavily before looking at Hazel.

"Have I ever told you, that you're my favorite child?" He asked. Hazel laughed at her dad.

"Trust me, I know." She said, before continuing eating.  Adeline got in between the two girls fighting, pushing them apart with her magic.

"Shut up, both of you." Adeline yelled. She turned to Skylar, "Give me the jacket." Skylar complied, knowing not to mess with her mother right now. Adeline took the clothing, and walking over to the trash can, before throwing it in bin. Cora gasped in shock.

"What?" Cora quietly asked, upset her favorite jacket is in the trash can now.

"Now neither of you get it." Adeline firmly spoke, before pointing to the empty stools on both sides of Hazel. "Sit down, shut up, and eat." The two girls wordlessly complied. Ezra started laughing softly as Hazel sported a grin. Adeline picked up her coffee, before turning to her children.

"Why are you guys up so early anyway? This is parent quiet time." Ezra asked as Adeline continued drinking her coffee.

"You promised to take us shopping for clothes since school starts tomorrow." Hazel reminded. Ezra groaned.

"I need a son." He said, before turning to Adeline. "We need a son, because I don't know how much longer I can take living with just girls. We just went shopping, I swear." Adeline smiled brightly at her husband's pout.

"You've survived a thousand years, what the rest of eternity?" She asked, placing a small kiss on his lips. All three girls groaned at their parent's affection. The couple stood for a moment, just staring at each with that amount of love only people dreaming about. Even after a thousand years, nothing has faded between the two.
