May 28th Of The Caged Bird

Today I saw my caged bird sing at the sun. I wondered why it did such a thing. I knew when angels passed, a new star was born, but this was peculiar.

Throughout the day I had to cope with the fact that the biggest star had shined brighter. The caged bird sang of freedom. I let him escape and he flew to the sun. And my radio burst,

"Today, a world known poet had passed. Rest in peace to freedom herself. The late, Maya Angelou."

And along with the radio, my heart did the same; It burst.
