Chapter 17
Hickies are annoying, after that night with Michael I had to constantly keep checking to see if the makeup I used to cover it was fading.
I drove down to the Saxford Institution to see Rachel.
"It's Natasha, here to see Rachel Mendoza" I said into the machine.
I heard the buzz and made my way in.
"Please sign in here" A deep voice said.
What happened to the other lady?
I signed the visitors log.
"Are you Doug Lozano's daughter?" The tall dark bald man asked eyeing me up and down.
"Yes, why?" I asked.
"Oh I used to work with him, say hi for me will ya?"
"Sure, can I have a name?"
"Zach"
"Okay, bye Zach." and I walked away.
"Knock Knock!" I said as I knocked on Rachel's room door.
The door was unlocked so I just walked in.
She was writing.
"Hey Rach" I said siting next to her.
"Hey" she said dropping the green notebook.
"How are you doing?"
"I'm actually doing good"
"That makes me happy" I said.
"When are we going dress-shopping?" she asked
"Natasha, Oliver asked me to homecoming!" She added.
"Wait, you can go?" I asked.
"Yea they said I'm making tremendous progress and the program that I'm in allows me to go to school functions like that."
"Yay!" I screamed while hugging her.
"Wait wait, Oliver?" I asked.
"Yea I think I'll give him a chance, he seems that a nice guy."
"If you say so, haha good luck."
"I know, I haven't really dated anyone since Miguel in Freshman year."
"You two were infatuated with each other" I said.
"Let's not take a trip down memory lane, who are you going with?" she asked.
"Uhh I dunno no one has asked me yet"
"What about Mr.HottiePants?"
I chuckled at the sound of that.
"What?" She asked
"I accidentally called him that when we were kissing."
"Oh no sweetie haha"
"I know but he just laughed and thought it was cute, anyways no one has asked me and it's not like I can go with him anyways, it's a school thing."
"Ugh yea, that sucks."
"So when can you leave?" I asked.
"Whenever."
