Jealousy

Hoseok stood in the corner of the kitchen, watching as Jungkook sauntered over to Jimin and pulled up a chair beside him.

"Hey hyung." He smirked.

"Oh, hi, Jungkook what's up?" Jimin smiled brightly at him.

"I just wanted to say hi to my favorite hyung." Jimin laughed.

"Since when was I your favorite hyung?" Yoongi was seated across from the two eating a bowl of noodles when he heard the statement made by the youngest.

"Since forever."

"I will never believe that."

"You know hyung, you should play overwatch with me and Taehyung." Hoseok rolled his eyes.

At this rate, nothing would be accomplished. Hoseok made his way over to the table and lightly tapped Jungkook's shoulder.

"Jungkook, I have to talk to you real quick. Come with me." He said as he dragged Jungkook out of the room.

"That is not going to work out."

"What do you mean?"

"You need to do something more."

"Like what?"

"Maybe like put your arm around him, hold his hand, things like that. Be more intimate about it."

"But didn't you say it wasn't sexual."

"Oh come on, Jungkook, we do those things in public anyway."

"...Fine." Jungkook walked back into the kitchen and took his seat once again.

Hoseok followed and went back to his place in the corner.

"Hey hyung, I'm back~" Jungkook said, swinging an arm around Jimin.

Yoongi looked up for a brief moment and then went back to his food. Jimin smirked at Jungkook.

"What do you want from me?" He asked.

"Well... we haven't hung out in a while. Maybe we should go out and watch a movie, just the two of us. What do you say, hyung?" This time when Yoongi looked up, he made eye contact with Jimin.

Then it struck Hoseok. Yoongi had been asleep when Jungkook and Taehyung came out as a couple. He must not know they are a thing.

"Uh, yea sure, maybe." Jimin said as he put his right arm on the table.

Possibly, trying to make space between the two of them. Jungkook took the opportunity to place his other hand right on top of Jimin's.

"How's Saturday?"

"Saturday should be fine. But is this okay wi-" Jimin started.

"Shhh don't worry about it. It's a date then!" Yoongi was just pushing around his noodles at this point.

It seemed like he had given up on eating them. Hoseok thought this would be a good time so he pulled out his phone.

Not even a minute later, Jin hyung walked in.

"Hey Jimin, can you come help me move something in my room?" He sweetly smiled.

"Of course, hyung." Jimin smiled back and stood up.

"Oh! Let me help also!" Hoseok said and walked over to Jimin.

They left the room together, but Hoseok stayed by the open window in the living room that lead to the kitchen to observe. It was silent in the room for a few minutes. Suddenly, Yoongi slid his bowl over to Jungkook.

"I'm not really that hungry anymore, you can have it." Yoongi stood up and patted Jungkook's shoulder before he left.

Hoseok walked back into the kitchen. Jungkook let out a sigh of relief.

"Thank god, I thought he was gonna kill me."

"Did you see that though? My plan is working."

"Surprisingly, yes it is." Just then, Hoseok spotted Jimin walk past the kitchen to Yoongi's room.

"Wait, I need to go check this out." Hoseok walked out and stood by the door, so he could hear the conversation.

"Hey hyung, can I-"

"I know what you're gonna ask. Just go away." There was a pause.

Then Jimin came out and flopped onto the couch. He looked dejected.

Hoseok thought to himself, Did I go too far with this?

But then, five minutes later Yoongi hyung walked out of his room and sat down next to Jimin. He smiled at the younger.

"You wanna watch some TV?" he asked, grabbing the remote.

This left Hoseok very confused.

He was back to square one.
