Nintendo, at some point, had the idea of a Nintendo Phone, which would have features similar to that of a game boy. The decided not to pursue this idea, but they have gotten more into Mobile games with the release of Miitomo, Animal Crossing Pocket Camp, and... of course, Mario Run.
