Chapter 3: Teams and A 'Mission'

Mina's POV:

After we got promoted jiji had to tell us a long speech and asked if we had some questions. Of course we had some and I let nii-san go first.

"Can we keep our identities a secret? Can we only tell people who we can trust?" nii-san asked.

"Of course. Only I and a select few will know who you are."

"Are we on the same team?" I said.

"Yes, I will call in your teammates now."

Then he called a few people in.

"Remove your masks, these two will be your teammates."

Once they did they introduced themselves. "Ah finally this mask is going to be the death of me. I'm Mitarashi Anko, codename snake." said a woman with purple hair in a spiky bun.

"Uchiha Itachi, codename weasel" Said a man who looked slightly older than us. His onyx hair went slightly past his shoulders and his bangs framed his face.

"Tenzo, codename cat" He had a happuri style of headwear that framed his face and had brown colored hair.

"Umino Iruka, codename dolphin" He had a long scar across the bridge of his nose, and had brown hair pulled back into a spiky ponytail.

"And we already met." Kakashi said.

"Name's Uzumaki Mina"

"I'm Uzumaki Naruto"

"All right now I shall give you your first mission. I want Mina and Naruto to do this mission while the rest of you give help if needed. This is a symple A ranked mission and you should me back by tomorrow. Dismissed, except Mina and Naruto."

"What do you need Hokage-sama?" I asked.

"We need to get you your uniforms, and tattoo."

"Hai." We both said in unisan.

Once we got our tattoos and uniforms, we each had a code name. We were both named Kitsune until we had a different codename from the bingo book. We both had a fox mask, mine had blue markings while nii-san had red markings. Both had whisker markings on the side of our masks.

Then after we had all the assentals we went shopping for tools. I found a katana that i could use for the time being and nii-san did the same. We also got kunai and shurikens and a few scrolls. Then we payed and headed out to our mission.

Today we had a break and I had a bad feeling going on. Everything seemed fine until Ita-nii showed up.

"Hey I need to talk to you guys." He said. I could tell this was important. You could see he was stressed, and depressed.

"Ok..." I replied.

We walked into a forest where it was only us three. I could tell he would have a hard time telling us and it would be sad news.

"Ok so the Uchiha was planning a coup and I was assigned to assassinate them all."

I was shocked, why would they plan this.

"Why... why did they decide to throw a coup?" I asked.

"The Uchiha believe that the Hokage thinks that the Uchiha set off the Nine Tails 7 years ago. Also the Uchiha are a power hungry clan, they will do anything for power."

"That makes sense, but it was a man in a mask who set it off. The hokage can't do anything now I suppose..." Nii-san said.

"Yeah your right. Danzo ordered me to do so, he also took Shisui's eye. Shisui gave me the other, then committed suicide right in front of me." Itachi let a single tear fall.
