Question time! (part 1)

Many people ask, "What is the best way I can reveal my character's personality, quirks, and other traits?"

My advice:

"Weave your character's traits and personality into your story. DON'T shove it in reader's faces. Let them discover stuff about that character. Like I said before, YOUR CHARACTERS SHOULD BE TREATED LIKE REAL PEOPLE. You obviously don't know  every single detail about that person when you first meet them, unless you have like telepathy or something, but that's beside the point.

The thing is the more you hang around someone, the more you will get know who they really are. Let your reader "hang out" with your characters and get to know what they look like, act like, what they love doing, as the story progresses."

I found this website, which gives some examples, of the ways you can reveal your character's personality and other traits.

Another questions writers may ask is, "How do I reveal my character's  'deep and dark,' secrets?"

Here's a piece of advice I found that made so much sense to me.
