"Go away!!!" I shouted at my step brother, as he jumped down the stairs. "Your sooooo dead!!! Dude!!!" I shot at him. I dashed down the stairs after him. He laughed and ran across the hall, right into the yellow room. Ugh...I hate yellow, it just wasn't a good color. I loved blue and gray, and black. The yellow room was a room, with yellow walls and carpet, two desks and a closet. It was used by my family when they wanted peace and quiet or they wanted to work. He swing out though the open window, I ran after him by doing a flip though the window and landing in a kneeling position. He gasped and tripped over his our feet. I jumped on him with full speed. "Ow!! Get off of me!!!"he yelped. I smacked him, and growled. "Give it. Now." I growled. He rolled his eyes and took out a letter. I jumped off of him and grabbed it. He stood and tried to see what it said. I opened it and pushed the nine year old away. It stated, Dear Skylar, you are a demi god, and you might want to start packing and leave to Long Island. I'm sorry I can't get you myself but I'm busy. See ya there, Nico. What??? There was a Nico at my school but I never really talked to him. He kind of freaked me out. Why couldn't he help me??? Was this sorta prank?? But...Nico didn't look like the joking type.

I didn't care. I ran back into the house and started packing warm and cold clothes. iPod, check!! Sleepover crap, I hide under my bed, check!! I put everything in my favorite pack back. I hated my family, it wasn't really my family anyway. I had no idea what a demi god is bit I didn't care. I lived in Florida, how am I going to get to Long Island. I sneaked down stairs and took one last glance at my mother, who was in the living room, watching something on her computer. I walked quietly to the front door, my mom didn't seem to notice me. I ran out the door into the blinding sun shine. Ugh...why couldn't rain?? It would have been the perfect weather to run away in!! I started walking down my street, but then I turned toward the woods across the street from my house. I ran toward them, and stopped right in front. I sighed a glanced back at my house. Then I took my first step into a dam demi gods life.
