Hostage

(Y/N) and Uzume rushed over to Lastation and headed to the lobby. When they got there, Uni and Kei were there.

Uni: “(Y/N), you made it.”

(Y/N): “What happened?”

Kei: “While you were gone, Neptune managed to sneak into the basilicom and ordered us out the office.”

(Y/N): “Where were the guards?”

Uni: “They just left not to long before she broke in.”

Kei: “She must’ve known when they would leave. She said that she wanted to see you so we called you."

(Y/N): “I’m going up there.”

Uzume: “I’ll come with you.”

(Y/N) and Uzume ran to Noire’s office and knocked on the door.

(Y/N): “Neptune? It’s me.”

From the other side of the door, Neptune was filled with joy and answered the door, quickly pulling (Y/N) in and slamming the door in front of Uzume. (Y/N) looked around to see Noire in a chair and Neptune in front of her.

Neptune: “Nice to see you again, (Y/N).”

(Y/N): “Neptune. you don’t have to do this. You’re just digging yourself into a deeper hole.”

Neptune: “I’m willing to dig myself in this hole so I can be with you and only you for the rest of our lives.”

(Y/N) didn't know what to say next but she had to tell Neptune that she wasn't with her anymore. Realizing that this could be the only time, she decides to come clean.

(Y/N): “Suppose I have no choice.”

(Y/N) looked at Noire and back at Neptune.

(Y/N): “Neptune, I’m breaking up with you. I should’ve said it when we were together in the woods. I’m with Noire now and I wanted you to know that.”

Neptune’s smile turned into complete shock. Her skin went completely pale and looked at (Y/N).

Neptune: “So that’s how it’s going to be….seems as if I have no other choice.”

Neptune lunged at (Y/N), ready to strike. Out of adrenaline, (Y/N) picked up a chair and blocked her attack. Neptune swung her blade left and right and only manage to cut (Y/N) on the side of her head. While blocking one of the attack, (Y/N) tripped Neptune and hit her in the back with the chair. She was about to turn around until (Y/N) took a vase and hit her in the head. Neptune was knocked out and (Y/N) was breathing heavily while looking at Noire.

Noire: “Are you okay?”

(Y/N): “I’m fine.”

(Y/N) unties Noire and opens the door to let Uzume in. Uzume looks at the unconscious Neptune and back at (Y/N). Sh realizes that there was blood running down the side of her head.

(Y/N): “Uzume, I want to you to take Noire and get some guards and the council down here immediately.”

Noire: “I’m not leaving you here with Neptune.”

(Y/N): “Noire, go with Uzume. Get to safety.”

(Y/N) kissed Noire, leaving her in a blushing mess leaving the office. (Y/N) picked up Neptune’s blade and placed it over her shoulder. She watched the unconscious Neptune laying on the ground. (Y/N) sighed.

Timeskip

Neptune was being carried away by the guards and was going to be escorting to one of the jail cells. The paramedics was cleaning off (Y/N)’s head wound and Noire was talking to Takahiro, Shigeo, and Ayu. Maaya walked towards (Y/N) and dismissed the paramedics.

Maaya: “Well I guess our plan didn’t go as planned. But at least Neptune is in our hands now. Gamindustri is saved for another day. Though I didn’t know you would result to violence to bring her to us.”

(Y/N): “It was that or you would have two dead bodies on your watch.”

Maaya: “True. Now as far as Neptune’s punishment, I need you to decide along with the council.”

(Y/N): “Why? There are four of you.”

Maaya: “And that is the problem. Because there is four of us, we won’t be able to decide and will be deadlock with our voting. If that happens, then we will have no other choice but to let Neptune go. And after the chaos and hell you have been through, I’m pretty sure that we don’t want that.”

(Y/N): “You’re right. Its been a rough couple of days. When will this decision be made?”

Maaya: “In two days in Planeptune.”

(Y/N): “I’ll be there.”

Maaya joined the rest of the council, leaving (Y/N) to sit on Noire's desk.

Noire: “Thank you for saving me.”

(Y/N): “You’re welcoming. I'm just surprised that Neptune would hold you of all people hostage.”

Noire: “I-I would’ve handled it myself! I didn't need any help.”

(Y/N): “I don't know about that. You were pretty vulnerable in that chair.”

Noire: “I-Idiot!”

(Y/N): “I’m just kidding. Just kidding.”

Noire: “I just want to forget that this all ever happen. This is so embarrassing."

Timeskip

(Y/N) POV

I was laying in bed trying to go to sleep. But it was no use. My eyes won't let up and soon enough, I decided to have another overnighter writing my story. From time to time, I would start to think about what Maaya said. That she wanted me to choose Neptune's punishment. I hoped that I didn't have to do this in the first place but karma just finds its way to get back at me. What did I do wrong? Not only that but I never knew that this will have to end like this.
