Elijah nodded, exhaling sharply. He apologized.
"Hey - it's fine. I wanted to tell you that Bonnie is trying to find the spell to break it." Elena said.
"Thank you. I - uhm - well- "
"Yeah - I'm gonna go" Elena gestured to the door. "I'll call if I get some info."
"Yes - please do." Elijah straightenrd the shirt sleeves he had put on.
Elena exited the lounge, leaving him in a slight state of agitation.
Rebekah returned to the lounge,"Elena left?"
"Yes. Isn't it obvious!" Elijah said in a stroppy fashion, which was very much unlike him.
"Ok. What happened?" Rebekah was strangely in a very sisterly mood.
"I do not wish to discuss it." Elijah said still very much annoyed.
"What is really going on between you and Elena? Something happened in the Lakehouse?"
Elijah knew that Rebekah was no fool. She also knew that his moods. Especially when a woman was in play.
"I said that I do not want to discuss it."
"You've fallen for her, haven't you, Elijah? Like you are completely lost" Rebekah said.
"Yes!"Elijah said and his sister could now see how deeply far gone his heart was.
"Oh, God, Elijah. She is going to play you. Same as Katherine did. Tatia, too." Rebekah said.
"This is exactly why I didn't wish to discuss this with you because you cannot help yourself from comparing her to the others. And she is nothing like any of them." Elijah said.
"She has already played with both Stefan and Damon." Rebekah reminded him of Elena's ex-s.
"Can we drop this." Elijah's eyes now darkened.
"I am only looking out for you. I don't want you to get hurt."
"You needn't worry," Elijah said,"my heart is safe."
"Is it? You let Katherine in and look what happened. She looked out for no 1- Katherine."
"I never let Katherine in. Well, not fully. Her heart was never pure." Elijah now said.
"And Elena's is?"
"Yes, it is. Confused, but very much pure," Elijah said,"and you egging your wolf friend to kiss me, made matters worse."
