The Power of Love - Elena &Elijah

Elijah searched desperately for Elena's witch friend Bonnie, but there was no trace of them. It was like they fell from the face of the Earth.

His phone went and seeing it wad the Deveraux witch, he replied.

"I know how to locate him." Sophie said.

"You do?" Elijah breathed relieved. "What do you need? Bonnie's picture or-"

"No. I need you. I can channel him through you." Sophie said."Can you come to the house. I will explain. There is more."

Elijah hung up and swished away from the woods, arriving at the Mikaelson Mansion in no time.

"Right." he said as he got in, finding the witch and Rebekah in the Lounge."Do what you have to do. Just find her."

"Don't do it, Elijah. The magic can kill you." Rebekah said.

"What are talking about?" Elijah looked at his sister and then at Sophie.

"She is right. This is a very dark magic. And, it has possessed you already. It's an ancient magic that has made Silas a vampire. And- it flows in your blood, too. As well as Klaus', well all your family. Dark magic that has made you." Sophie explained."I have also found what he needs, and why he took Bonnie."

"What? Just say it!" Elijah sifted. impatiently, apologizing instantly for his agitated state.

"He wants the ancient magic in you, the Bennett magic, and the doppelganger's mystical blood."

"What ancient magic in me? What are you talking about?" Elijah didn't quite understand.

"The writing that appeared on your body is an ancient spell. He wants that." Sophie explained.

"Why Elijah? Why not me? Or Finn? Or Kol?" Rebekah threw her hands up in the air anxiously.

Elijah went silent. Rebekah could see that her brother ventured deep in thoughts. He knew something.

"Someone did something - and it wasn't our mother. Who was it, Elijah?" Rebekah asked.

"Aya." Elijah replied.

"Aya? Who is Aya?" Rebekah looked at her brother puzzled.

"Someone I knew, back in 1253, when I lived in Spain." Elijah said followed by a tiny sigh.

"I don't know if she knew what she was doing or she did it not knowing?" Sophie said."It's a spell that makes one Immortal power against any other spell. And he wants it. If he gets it, he becomes more powerful than any witch or magical creature. Also, he will take your Immortal life force."

"Can you stop him?" Elijah asked.

Sophie shook her head in negation.

"Bonnie can, right?" Rebekah said.

"Yes. A Bennett witch did it. But, Bonnie doesn't have the knowledge or the power to stand against him, obviously, because otherwise, he wouldn't be able to take her." Sophie confirmed.

"Damn. That's why he took her." Rebekah exclaimed frustrated.

"We are in a check-mate position." Elijah muttered.

"We have always found a way out. Will do it again." Rebekah said confident.

'The universe is all about balance. The forces of light and darkness are meant to keep a check on one another. If one becomes too powerful and starts overrunning the other, that balance will be upset. For the tyranny of virtue is as unbearable as the stranglehold of vice.'

And so later, the balance had to restored.

Rebekah met up with Elena and Caroline in front of the Tulle abandoned farm house.
