Dear Sweet Addison,
By the time you read this letter, I might be gone from the world. Please don't mourn for too long. I am sorry for the trouble I might've brought to the family that accompanied my death. Mrs. Oak might've mentioned that I had a favor to ask of you. I had also asked Mrs. Oak to tell you about me meeting Kimina Yuki both as the little girl who cannot be left alone and as the woman who mourned the loss of her beauty for her husband was so cruel that he left a scar on her face. I had always thought that she was there to haunt me but no, at this late time of my life, I had come to realize that she was actually helping me, helping out family. She was the one who guided me with the decisions that filled my mind. She had help me in raising my children- your mother, her little sister and her two older brothers. Although your grandfather's death brought me great sorrow, she was the one who helped me move on and continue to live. So one thing I ask of you dear granddaughter- free her. I am in debt of her. Save her and the family and this whole village will be free.
Thank you for everything, love.
Sincerely,
Wilhelma Carson
Sweet? Love? But grandmother never called me those. Addison thought, she wanted to express her thoughts but as she opened her mouth, she was interrupted by her cousin.
"What? We have to set it free? Didn't Mrs. Oak said it always haunted for grandmother when she was younger? Why would grandmother want that?" Jessie asked, confused.
"Maybe the fact that grandmother is really just a forgiving person, I guess." Addison replied.
"But it still doesn't make any sense." Jessie said, still very confused.
"Just. Grandmothers, Jessie. Grandmothers." Mason told his sister. "Plus." He added "It's grandma's last wish, might as well do it."
"But...how do we do it?"Jessie inquired.
"There was a piece of paper between the letter." Addison said, looking for the said paper. Aha! She thought, doing a little dance in her head when she found the said paper. Her companions gathered near her to read what was written on the paper.
"Buried under the big tree, far from the forest, find it and you'll see" Mason read aloud.
"The backyard. The big Grant tree where we used to hang out." Addison said. "Come one" She continued "Let's go there."
"For what is this?" Jessie asked.
"It might be the materials we need for setting Kimina Yuki free." Mason said. Both the girls looked at him. "What?" He said. "I can be smart too."
Jessie looked at her brother and said "Sure"
"Uh, yes I can" Mason retorted. The pair continued to bicker as they went to the backyard. Before opening the door that connected the house to the backyard, Addison opened it slightly to see if anyone was there. Surprisingly, there was no one hanging out by the backyard.
"Alright. I got a plan." Addison told the pair who immediately stopped bickering.
"Oooh, okay. What will we do?" Mason rubbed his hands together in excitement.
"We obviously dig it, genius." Jessie retorted.
"Alright, then. I'm gonna go find a shovel." Mason said, turning back.
"Hurry up! And make sure you won't be seen." Addison called out to her cousin. Mason replied by flashing a thumbs up behind his back. Until then, Jessie and Addison were left alone. Addison opened the door to the backyard and went out with Jessie trailing behind her.
"Addie" Jessie called out.
"What?" Addison asked sitting below the shade of the Grant tree.
"The grasses. How we make it seem untouched?" The girl inquired.
"Look around you Jess the grasses are literally still not growing" Addison told her.
"Oh. So, what do we do now?" Jessie asked, sitting down beside Addison by the tree.
"Now we wait for your brother." Addison answered.
A few minutes had passed, Mason returned carrying a shovel, panting.
"What's wrong?" Addison asked the boy.
"Well, when I got this big shovel and two small ones, I literally ran out of the storage room 'cause I felt like there was something touching me. It was so creepy. I was batshit scared so I ran out of the room as fast as I can." Mason shuddered, recalling the experience.
"Alright then" Jessie said grabbing the two small shovels and handed one to Addison. "Let's start digging!"
After almost an hour of searching for the piece or whatever it is that was buried, Mason had finally felt the shovel hitting a hard material.
"I think I got it!" Mason called out to the girls. Both of them immediately stopped digging. "Well, what are you waiting for? Help me out!" The girls immediately went over to his side and started digging by the sides of the land. After a few more couple minutes, the trio were finally able to move aside the land that surrounded it.
"Hm..."Addison started. Looking down the box which was buried. "What could be in this?" She wondered aloud.
"Why don't we check it out?" Mason said, pulling up the box to their level of land.
"Let's." Jessie said.
As they opened the box, seemingly excited and curious of what was the content of the box. As they removed the box lid and scanned the insides of the package. It contained a pure white colored Japanese Kimono, except, the dress splashes of things that look like blood. Beside the dress there were three papers that were next to it. Addison grabbed one of the letters and read it aloud 'The part of a person's previous life is very important especially when awakening them." Jessie also went over and grabbed the second paper and read it 'those not used are kept hidden, surrounded by things that are leaden' Her brother, Mason, reached for the last paper.
"It looks like it was torn from another part." Mason stated his observation.
"I guess we have to collect them to see their texts." Addison replied.
"Well, I guess so." Mason said, putting the paper on his breast pocket
"Now, let's go find some other clues."
