Terrified of the sight she was seeing, Sarah stared up in horror. The Beast she saw up in the sky was massive, easily 20 feet tall just from the waist up the rest covered in the storm clouds that resided all across the city. It's skin black with blue cracks all across its skin as if they were lightning bolts as well, and when thunder cracked across the sky the beast yelled and the blue cracks glowed and lightning shot out of its finger tips.
The face was like that of a Lions, feline nose that was scrunched up though like that of a pigs with two very large tusks shooting out of its lower lip. Two menacing blue eyes like the cracks that constantly glowed with a menacing glare full of hate and rage. It had a full mane of hair that was of white hair, with ashen grey skin that blended well into the clouds. Its hands were human but at its tips were clawed like that of a feline's claw or a birds talon. It was like something out of a horror movie.
She tried to let out a shriek of terror but her throat would not let her escape any terror but just build it in her throat and her eyes to water. All her body would do is collapse on to her knees and stare in horror. That is until a brilliant light flashed in front of the monster. The boy she had forgotten about. The boy was glowing now and that light pierced the clouds like a blinding sun would through storm. That is when she saw him launch at the creature swinging a weapon, and watched the creature and the boy battle in the sky.
Blow after blow, every strike the boy took the light he emanated, flashed, and blow after blow, every strike the demon took lightning struck across the sky either hitting the boy or the city igniting a building on fire. Even though she was aware of the sirens around her and the rain pelting her face in an angry torrent, the only thing she could keep her attention on was the battle up above.
What seemed like it was forever, the battle took a turn. She watched as the boy flew in, diving around the monsters clawed hand that struck out at him, and swinging his weapon at the Beasts elbow and cutting it clean off. In a furious rage of anguish and pain, the beast struck out with its other hand, catching the boy directly in the face and launching him towards Sarah. In a matter of seconds the boy, with a crackling whistle of air, crashed into the pavement next to her. She quickly looked back up towards the Beast, but it was gone.
The storm still raged all around but the lightning had subsided. It was gone! But her attention quickly snapped back towards the boy and ran towards him. She saw his face, the four wings curled and burned around his body, his tattered and torn clothes wet, damp, and singed. She saw the weapon he held loosely in his left hand, a large scythe with black oak for the handle and glowing steel. But before she could get a better look the weapon disappeared and a glowing mark Sarah did not see before appear on the boys inner wrist with a pentagram on it.
The boy turned his face, his eyes half open, one glowing Red the other Blue. "Run," he whispered before his eyes closed. She looked on in awe in a second before her attention caught all the wounds the boy had, the amount of blood now starting to pool and mix with the rain water under him in the crater his body had made. Worried for the boys life she quickly looked around, searching for something to carry him in. Scanning around she saw several shopping carts tipped over on their sides. That will do, she thought to herself as she quickly ran over to grab one and bring it back with its loud wheels squeaking and the splashing of the water.
She got over to the boy when she noticed a big problem. Four of them to be precise. She was thinking to herself on how would she fit him in without hurting him more and his wings, how would she even fit him in with the wings to begin with, anyways. That is when she saw the wings starting to shrink behind the boys back. After a few moments and a few bone cracking noises in which made her worry even more, she quickly sat the boy up to see the wings gone! There were four holes where the wings should have connected to his body instead.
Thinking this weird and a bit gross, she put it to the back of her mind first and placed the boys arm around her shoulders and tried lifting him up. Holy Crap he is heavy, she thought to herself, and after much effort she got the boy into the cart. His butt was kinda sticking up into the air and and his face down in the cart but it would have to do till she got home.
She ran in the rain, pushing the cart splashing rain water everywhere around her and not only soaking the boy in the cart more but also herself. In a matter of minutes she was home, the neighborhood quiet all around except the rain patter on the roofs of the houses. She got the boy out of the cart, got him inside, and shut the door. After quickly locking the door, she sighed, glad for once in her life she was alone at home. She would have had a hard time explaining this boy to her parents.
She had put the boy on the couch. She quickly ran into the bathroom near the entryway and grabbed the first aid kit out from underneath the sink and ran back to the living room to place the kit onto the coffee table next to the couch. She had already tried turning on the lights but the storm had blown a fuse or something, all the power in the house was out.
The only light they had was the grey light from the windows that was slowly dying from the night on its way. She had to act quickly still, since there was more that she would need to get. She ran back into the bathroom and grabbed several towels and rags to clean the boy up with. She also grabbed a bowl of water from the kitchen, and a pair of her dads clothing hoping they would fit, and several candles so she could see.
She lit the candles and set to work. She took off the boys shirt, noticing first the cuts and bruised looking ribs, but then she also noticed all the tattoos on his body and the serious model muscle body. Flushing a bit from that stupid thought in a serious time like this she went to take off his pants as well, leaving the boxers the boy had on. There was only so much embarrassment and excitement she could take for one day.
Taking the rags and the water bowl she cleaned up his body, all the cuts and blood. She then bandaged them to the best of her ability, and bound his ribs with the gauze she had. She saw that this is how they did it in T.V so this has to help in some way, until she could get him to the hospital. By the time she got to the four holes in his back, she saw that they were already healed up surprisingly, with four tattoos in its place. On the left side on the top was a curved cross and underneath a pentagram, and on its right the reverse. She quickly dressed the boy up in her dads clothes, and then collapsed there breathing at looking at the boy in the candle light.
This was the first real time she looked at his face. She wiped away his long black hair. He had a handsome face, masculine yet feminine at the same time with a strong jaw and nose, and yet soft thin red lips against his pale skin. Thin eyebrows and clean shaven face. His eyes though, even closed, were piercing as if they could see right into her soul even though asleep.
She yawned noticing how tired she was. This was all she could do till the morning if the power was back on. His wounds were no longer bleeding so she did not think he was in any more danger. She cleaned up the mess she made, put the boys clothes into the laundry room next to the bathroom same with the towels, and went upstairs to bed. There she fell asleep fast, her dreams racked with the strange shining boy in the sky, and of the monster in the storm.
