...

(Two Weeks Later)

"I gotta tell you, I was at the show at the children's museum the other night. That was insane. It was like Beetle Mania and I was at Beetle Mania. I took my sister to see them. She passed out. The same thing was happening the other night with these kids. The kids love you. They love you guys. These guys are real stars. It's unbelievable. Let's just cut to the chase here."

"Yes" Mikes mother said nodding her head

"I gotta tell you, when I heard about what happened with this group, I was disgusted. I literally felt sick to my stomach. I felt like I wanted to vomit"

"And what exactly does that mean?" Flo asked aggravated with the conversation. It was a good thing that Amira wasn't there because she would've went off on the man that was sitting in the living room talking about the boys previous manager. After what happened two weeks ago, she stayed way from the boys parents. It was obvious that they didn't accept her out burst and would still get another manager even though whatever happened wasn't her uncles fault. She took her own advice and allowed her uncle to groom her to stardom like he'd done the boys and was immediately discovered by MCA records and was almost ready to release her first album.

"Plain and simple"

"Yes"

"I'll tell ya. ok. If I was managing this group, that would never happen. ok. And the most important thing that I need to tell you, is I work for you, I work for New Edition. I want to make their dreams come true and that will happen with me"

"Ok. Thats all well and good Mr. Evens."

"Always so formal. My name is Gary, call me Gary"

"Ok Gary. What we wanna know are some specifics."

"I can respect that. I'll give you specifics. I'm talking bigger and better paying concert gigs. I'm talking about keeping these kids educated with tutors when they're on the road. I'm talking about endorsements and international television appearances." Gary said trying to make everything he's saying sound better than what Brooke was doing for the boys

"We've been on TV before" Ricky said

Gary corrected Ricky with the word 'National' and continued going on about how he could make this group become bigger than ever. Then he mentioned the Record Label and the guarantee of payment this go around. Flo was hesitant to say the least. She knew that Brooke did nothing wrong and would rather him manage the group than a complete stranger.

"Flo, this is a business decision. I mean, excuse me. Let me ask these kids, what do you think about this kids?"

They all seemed hesitant to answer as well. Ronnie and Mike specifically. Ralph was the first to answer and everyone else kinda pitched in. Mike, being considerate of his girlfriends feelings, was the last to speak. Amira wasn't there but he understood how she felt about the changes being made but he also understood that they had to do what was best for the group and at this moment it was getting a new manager.

"As long as our moms cool with it then we good" He said plain and simple

"Mike are these uh, are these your basketball trophies" Gary asked

"yea" Mike answered

"Yeah you must have one hell of a game eh"

"yea" Mike answered again

"What like a point guard"

"Yea somethin' like that"

"Like Tiny Archibald? I use-I used to play. I see. I see." Gary commented. Mike was still hesitant about the deal that was going down. He honestly didn't like Gary that much but he was going along with it for the sake of the group.
