Third Person POV
"This is fucking ridiculous." Rhea sighed, looking at her friends impatiently. The boys had been so adamant about their arrival to the party together, yet they had been nowhere to be found.
It was nearing eight o'clock, getting to the point where fashionably late became regular late, and it was pressing all their nerves. The simple "We'll be late." Ethan sent before did nothing to calm them down either.
"Screw it," said Elizabeth. "I'm texting Aaron and telling them to meet us there."
Grabbing their jackets and keys, the girls decided to walk the short corner to Kian Lawley's house. They turned their phones off, not really caring for the boys' choice of words towards their departure.
They had no idea what was awaiting them as soon as they hit the stone front steps of Kian's gigantic house, but if they had, it would have been more than wise for them to turn around. Rhea's mind had fixated on the fight she'd had with Grayson the day before, a painful tremor of emotion coursing through her as she remember his words.
Sage's mind was plagued with ways to avoid Alex without simultaneously causing any riffs in the relationships of their friends. She was playing a dangerous, and not to mention selfish game, pushing him away yet needing him near, and she had no idea that tonight would be the night that it all blew up in her face.
Elizabeth looked at her friends as they walked on the uneven sidewalk cautiously. She had never been one to believe in intuition, but there was a feeling in her stomach that felt like a warning. Something that flashed a countdown, as if the night was a ticking time bomb.
She shook the thought away; there was nothing out of the ordinary going to happen tonight. It'd be like every party they went to, filled with laughing, minimal drinks, and scarce kisses. Nothing to panic about.
If only she had realized just how far from reality that was, before it was too late.

"Can you come with me to find the bathroom?" Elizabeth asked, turning to Rhea because Sage had busied herself with the task of finding a drink.
She rolled her eyes, "I think you can do that by yourself. Also, I have a bad feeling with leaving that bitch on her own."
"So much for friends," The brunette grumbled, and Rhea only laughed.
Ahead of her, Sage had somehow managed to obtain an entire whiskey bottle. She danced her way to a small couch on the wall of the main room, which just so happened to hold Aaron.
There was a huge sliding door on the side of the massive room, in which Jack was upside down on keg stand, a hall that led to the kitchen to the left and the staircase to the right, leading up to the large quantity of rooms Rhea wondered if she'd end up in tonight.
Rhea's annoyance peaked; how the hell were the boys here before them? Rhea and Sage lived literally four minutes away from the party destination, so it would have meant that they had to leave way before them.
So much for altogether, Rhea's thoughts bolstered.
She made her way to the couch quickly, dodging already drunk teens falling amongst themselves. The house was warm and loud, a mixture that created an air laced in mischief. There was a strong smell of alcohol in the air, which was expected, and suddenly, a weight that Rhea didn't know how to control crashed on her shoulders. She tried to shake it and failed, but before there was time to question it, she stood in front of Aaron and Sage.
