Sid's POV
After I got John and Mikey separated, I looked around seeing Gemma was gone. One thing I can say about her, she can disappear under the radar easily. She learned that as a kid.
"Anyone seen Gemma?" I yelled. They all looked at me and shook their heads. We searched the cemetery, coming up empty handed. "Fuck!!" I yelled.
"We will find her. Calm down." Corey said. "She probably just needs a bit of time is all."
"No I know what she's doing. She's getting shit faced. I just don't know where." I told him.
"The shop?" Corey asked. I shook my head.
"She doesn't want to be found. Fuck, she has the keys. She drove. Can you take me to her place?" I asked.
"Of course. Come on." Corey said. As we were walking Mikey yelled to me.
"Siddy! I found her. She's at Smoke. She's trying to leave, and Trey stopped her. She's uh, ready to fight too man. You remember how she gets on tequila." Mikey called out.
Fuck! She gets pissed, and says shit she doesn't mean. When she drinks that, it's because she's hurt and angry. And on top of all of it, she's embarrassed as all hell.
Mikey walked up to Corey and I. "You know she don't mean none of it either. Whatever she says, let it go." He told us.
"I know, man. I know. Fuck!" I said getting in Corey's car.
"I'll take you. It's fine man. It's the least I can do." Corey said as we drove.
"Look, she's gonna be a mouthy bitch. You won't like what she says. Neither will I. But, I'm the only one that can calm her down when she's like this. I don't know if you want to deal with it." I told him.
"How many times have you guys dealt with my ass? It's fine. And no, I won't mention it to her either." Corey said as we pulled into Smoke. She was outside, and I saw her punch Trey in the face. She may be small, but she learned how to fight at a young age, and that girl packs a punch.
"You may need back up dude. She is pissed!" Corey said as we got out. I made my way up to her. She saw both of us and glared.
"Go home Sid. Take the lost dog with you." She glared. Corey and I couldn't help but laugh at her comment.
"You good man?" I asked Trey who was holding his jaw. He grinned and nodded, walking inside.
"Gemma, come on. Let's go." I said calmly. She glared at me.
"Fuck off Sid. Why don't you just not talk to me like you did for ten years. That way you don't have to deal with my bullshit." She spat. She goes for blood when she's like this. I knew she'd bring it up and I was already prepared. I smiled at her.
"Nope. Not doing it. I love dealing with you and your bullshit." I grinned. I set her off saying that, and knew I would. She was already in my face. Corey took a step closer, ready to grab her.
"Better take ten steps back man. I will fuck you up for real this time." She said to him. He looked surprised, and took a step back.
"You didn't care about me for how long Sid? Why care now?" She asked hotly. I smiled at her.
"You know why. I love you Gemma. You love me. So, let's stop this and go. Come on. Remember when you got drunk and knocked out that guy at a party we went to? He grabbed your ass and you clocked his ass. Then his friends got in your face, but me and my friends took care of you?" I asked. I watched her look away, tears in her eyes. She nodded. "That's what we are doing now. Can you just let me take care of you? Please?" I saw her go from angry to sad instantly. She turned and looked at Corey.
"Sorry I was going to punch you." She said. He smiled at her and nodded.
"It's cool. I probably had it coming." He laughed. She turned to me.
"I'm sorry Sid. I am. I didn't mean it. I really didn't." She said, breaking down into a sob. I held her to me, and smiled.
"I know that. It's not the first time you've talked shit to me like this. I'm alright. I was prepared for it. Want to go home? Noon is a little early to be drinking this hard, babe." I said. She moved back and nodded. She took a few steps and stumbled, and both Corey and I caught her. We put an arm around her, helping her to the car. I got her in the backseat, and she laid down. I closed the door and Corey looked at me.
"She's had shit life. That sucks. She gonna be ok after this shit?" He asked.
"I hope. Last time I saw her like this, her dad got high and kicked her ass. Bad. She was the same way that night. Took her a few days to come around, but she did." I told him.
"Fuck. That was about the last thing she needed today with all that. I feel bad for her. She looked so embarrassed too. She doesn't need to be. Let her know that. I'm not gonna judge her about it. The guys won't either." Corey said.
"Thanks man. I will. Thanks for helping too." I said as we got in the car. We drove back to Gemmas place, and she was so passed out, she didnt move. We managed to get her out, and get her up the stairs. She was dead weight and didn't even move. We got her inside and into bed. I took her shoes off and covered her up. We went into the living room and sat on the couch.
"What a fucking day." I sighed.
"No shit. That must of been her old man, huh? He's lucky Mikey didn't kill his ass from the sounds of it." Corey said. We both already had taken our dress shirts off and ties. I hate wearing that shit.
"You have no idea. Mikey just put his sister in the ground because of that asshole. He got her hooked on shit years ago. Mikey wasn't kidding about making him leave town." I told him. Corey looked at me wide eyed.
"No shit? How do you know that?" He asked.
"Ask Gemma's last boyfriend. He thought it'd be fun to slap her around and shit. Mikey found out and made him leave that night." I said. Corey looked like he might shit himself. Good. I don't want him fucking with Gemma ever again, and this is to drive that point home.
"Shit. That dude is as crazy as they say he is. Fuck. She always had a bad time growing up, didn't she?" He asked.
"More than any of us will ever know. At the bar, that was a lifetime of pain coming to a head. She's lost her mom and her little brother. She raised that kid, because they wouldn't of. She tried. She really did. He was hanging out with gang bangers. This happened a few weeks after Amanda made her leave." I said. I ran a hand down my face, and sighed, leaning my head against the back of the couch. "Good thing she had Jo."
"This Jo guy. They seem a little too close. Not trying to start shit, but you know what I mean?" He asked. I laughed hard at that one.
"Dude. You saw him there with another guy, right? That's Blake. His boyfriend." I laughed. Corey's eyes went wide and his jaw dropped.
"Shut the fuck up man! No way!" He half yelled. I nodded laughing.
"I didn't believe it either, until we had dinner with them. They are a really nice couple. Blake's an ER doctor actually. They've taken care of her for ten years. Trust me, nothing to worry about with Gemma and Jo. Jo and her give each other a quick kiss on the lips in front of me. It don't bother me. Same with her and Blake. It's cool. And Blake and Jo don't give a fuck what people think of them. They hold hands all the time in public. They are cool guys." I told him.
"Wow. That's crazy. That's good that at least someone helped her out." He said.
"Yeah. It is. Doesn't make up for what I did, but she had someone to take care of her. That's all I care about. I love that girl." I said. He raised his eyebrows at me.
"Really? You sure about that? Never known you to say you love a girl." Corey said. Yes I do, and that's why I'm telling him all this shit. So he stays the fuck away.
"Yeah. Didn't realize it until I came back to her place the first night. I've always loved her. Took me a long time to realize it, but I'm not letting her go this time." I said. I could tell somewhere in Corey's mind, he thought he still could have her. Not sure what he thinks now.
"Damn. Well that's awesome. I'm happy for you guys. Gonna marry her?" He smirked at me.
"Maybe. Time will tell." I grinned.
Corey and I hung out for a few hours, playing video games, and talking. I heard Gemma's door opened and the bathroom door slam, then heard her getting sick.
"Looks like the alcohol is making an appearance." Corey laughed.
"She's gonna be miserable." I said, as he nodded.
"Well, I'll leave you to that. You guys good?" He asked. I nodded, walking him to the door.
"Thanks man." I told him. He grinned and nodded, as I shut the door, heading back to Gemma.
"Babe? You ok?" I asked through the door.
"Yep." Was all I got.
"Can I come in?" I asked.
"No." She replied. I sighed leaning my head on the door.
"Come on babe. Just open the door. I'm not mad at you." I said.
"Sid, I just need some time alone. I'll call you when I feel like talking." She said. What? No way!
"Gemma, that doesn't work for me. Open the door. Please?" I asked, trying the handle. She didn't say anything to me. What the fuck is she doing? I heard her moving things around, then it stopped. I listened more, hearing her hiss. Like she was in pain. Oh I know what the fuck she's doing!
I took a step back, and kicked the door open. She jumped, and the razor blade she had in her hand fell on the ground. I was pissed now. "Why the fuck are you doing this shit again, Gemma? What the fuck!" I yelled. I looked at her wrist, seeing she hadn't cut much. It looked more like a scratch that was bleeding.
She looked at me and scrambled to get up. She looked just as pissed as I was. She went to move past me, and I stopped her, grabbing her waist with my arm. She started flailing her arms and kicking at me. I grabbed her arms with my free hand, as we fell to the floor. "Get off! Let go! I can do whatever I want Sid!" She yelled at me.
"Not this you can't." I said quietly, as she struggled against me. I held on, not letting go. She was putting up one hell of a fight too. We were both breathless and worn out when she finally calmed down. She was quiet, and then I heard her sobbing. She didn't have an ounce of fight left in her, and quite frankly, neither did I.
I turned her around, and pulled her into me. She wrapped her body around me, and I stood up, walking us back to her room. I sat on the bed, and laid back, as she laid on top of me, both of us not letting go. She cried and cried, until she was exhausted and asleep on me. I moved her off of me gently, and covered us up. I held on to her as we slept.
I heard her groan the next morning. "I'm dying." She moaned. I chuckled as she groaned.
"Nope. You are really hung over babe." I grinned at her. She nodded, and I could tell she felt like shit. "No more tequila. You are an asshole when you drink that shit." She grinned and nodded.
"I'm sorry Sid. I am. That was too much yesterday. I'm so fucking embarrassed by my family. I really am." She said.
"No one is upset with you. We were worried. Really worried. Glad you showed up at least." I told her.
"Yeah. I may need to apologize to a few people if I recall correctly." She said.
"Trey would be a good start. You cracked his ass a good one." I knew she didn't remember by the look on her face.
"Oh god. Oh my god!" She groaned. "Anyone else?" She asked.
"Well you apologized to Corey already." I said.
"What?! Why?" She asked.
"You told him to back up or you'd fuck him up for real this time. You were all in my face when that happened. He was gonna grab you if he needed to." I told her. She looked away, then rolled on her side, her back facing me.
"Gemma, come on, babe. It's fine." I told her.
"Its not fine Sid. They all know too much about me now. I don't want that." She said, not looking at me.
"So what if they do? No one think badly of you. Who cares?" I said.
She flipped around to look at me. "I care Sid. That's who cares. Look, I need some time to myself today. Please?" She asked. I felt my heart break.
"Yeah. Sure. Call me when I'm not a pain in the ass." I said, getting out of bed. She glared at me, and got out of bed, slamming the bathroom door. I threw my clothes on and grabbed my phone and keys. I walked to the bathroom door. "You actually gonna call me?"
"Yes." She said. I have a feeling she won't.
"Gemma, if I don't hear from you by three, I'm coming back." I told her.
"I will call before then." She said.
I left and got in my car, driving home. I hate this. I don't feel like I should of left. I got home and took a quick shower and changed. I sat, debating on going there or not. I called Jo.
"Hey man. Got a minute?" I asked.
"You bet, Sid. What's up?" He asked. I told him about last night and this morning with her.
"Do I go or not man? She's never kicked me out before. Ever." I told him.
"Sid, she doesn't want to be alone. Go back there. I'll go up now. See you in a few." Jo said as he hung up. I flew out the door and got in my car, driving as fast as I could to her place. I pulled in and got out, taking the steps two at a time. I knocked on the door, and she answered. She looked down, then threw herself into me.
"I'm sorry Sid. Don't go." She sobbed. I felt relieved and hugged her hard. I saw Jo coming out and mouthed thank you to him. He smiled and nodded. I walked her back inside, shutting the door.
She looked up at me and was kissing me like we were being torn apart from each other. "I'm sorry Sid." She whispered in my ear. I felt her tounge run lightly over my ear, making my eyes close, before she kissed me again.
"I know baby. It's ok." I whispered, lifting her up. I felt her legs go around me. "I love you baby." I whispered to her, hearing her moan.
"I love you so much Sid." She said, as I backed us into her room. "I need you." She whispered. Oh damn. I had her down on the bed and was on top of her, running my teeth over her collar bone, making her shiver. I moved my hand between her legs, and under her clothes, feeling how wet she was already. "Don't stop Sid." She whispered, as my hand moved on her gently.
I brushed my tounge with hers, feeling her pull my body closer to hers. I stripped her clothes off of her, then my own, and was on top of her again. She ran her nails gently down my chest, then leaned up, sucking and kissing my chest, working her way up my neck. I felt her grab me and guide me into her. I moved, hearing her moan, making me thrust into her harder.
"Oh fuck. Gemma, I want you so fucking bad." I moaned out to her. She pulled me in with her legs hard and lifted her hips at the same time. It felt incredible. "God, don't stop Gem. Holy shit." I panted. She smiled, pulling and lifting again, making me move harder and faster into her. I started sucking on her nipples, taking them between my teeth, making her arch hard into me.
"Fuck! Sid, make me cum, baby." She moaned. Oh goddamn. I kept my mouth and tounge on her nipples, licking them faster, then sucking slightly harder. She was so close, I could feel it.
"You want me to make you cum baby?" I whispered to her, she nodded, biting her bottom lip. "Show me how bad you want it."
Did she ever. She pulled me hard, and lifted her hips, rotating them in a circular motion, making me gasp and moan loud. I lost control then. I started moving faster and harder than I ever have, hearing both of us moan. She clenched around me and arched into me and almost off the bed, making my world explode, as I shuddered and moaned against her neck.
I rolled off of her, and looked at her breathlessly. "Goddamn. You are gonna kill me." I grinned, making her laugh.
"You love it." She smiled.
"Uh huh. I do." I smiled. I looked at her seriously. "Want to move in together?" I asked. She smiled and nodded.
"Who is moving where?" She asked.
"I move here. I love being here." I told her.
"Yeah, but you have alot more stuff, like furniture and things like that. It won't all fit here." She said.
"Then I'll sell it, unless you want to move to my house?" I asked.
"I don't care where we live. I do like being here. It just feels like home." She said.
"Then I'll move here because I have felt the same way since the first night." I told her. She smiled and hugged me. I am going to marry her. I know it. "I love you Gemma."
"Not as much as I love you Sid." She said. We laid in silence for a long time, and I turned to her.
"Are you going to be ok? Everyone is worried about you." I told her.
"I will be. I just don't know when. It's a lot to deal with. The last time I saw my mom was when I had her arrested. It doesn't sit well with me. It never will." She said.
"I know. I'm sorry Gem. I am. You can't let this ruin everything you've worked for. You do need to take some time and deal with it. I'll be here. I'm not going anywhere." I told her. She smiled and nodded.
"I know. Thank you. I'm just in a really bad place right now. Please be patient with me." She said.
"Of course I will be. Take what ever time you need. Just don't let it take over is all." I said.
"That's what I'm afraid of." She whispered, laying her head on my chest.
A week later, and I am trying to pull Gemma out of the house. Chris was having people over, and I finally got her to go. It was like pulling teeth. She's barely gotten out of bed, she's been so depressed. I am hoping this will help.
We arrived at Chris's house that night, and met everyone out back. She didn't say much, just sat, staring off into space. Jim noticed this as well. He leaned down, and I could hear him ask if she wanted to go for a walk. Thank God. Maybe she'll talk to him, because she won't talk to me or Jo.
"She's not doing well is she?" Alex asked. I shook my head.
"No man. She won't even talk to Jo. I hope she talks to Jim at least." I told him.
"You blame her after that shit show?" Corey asked. I sighed. I was happy he wasn't drinking, but I wasn't in the mood for his shit either.
"You guys don't know the shit she's been through. She's really down. There's nothing anyone can do. It's up to her right now and she's trying to fight her way out." I told them.
"Leave her be man. Don't be up her ass all the time. Maybe she needs time alone." Corey said. Oh fuck you dude!
"Not that simple Corey. I have reasons of not leaving her alone, that no one needs to know about. Drop it." I warned. You could of heard a pin drop.
Alex looked at me and grinned. I could tell he was glad about what I just said. "She'll get there man. She will. It just takes time is all." Alex assured me.
"Yeah. I just hate seeing her like this." I said.
"Why? It's not any different than how she normally acts." Corey smirked.
"Fuck off Corey." Craig said. We all stared surprised, including Corey. "Don't be a dick. Fuck!" Craig said standing up. He went into the house.
"Jesus. What's with him?" Corey asked.
"You are being an asshole and you aren't drunk Corey." Mick chimed in. I grinned hearing Mick say that.
"Whatever. At least she's not drinking like she did last week." Corey laughed. I about choked him.
"Remember when you said you weren't bringing that up?" I asked him.
"Yeah, Corey. Remember?" I heard Gemma behind me. I turned seeing Craig, Gemma, and Jim standing there. "Fuck this." She said turning to go back inside.
I sighed, shaking my head. "Thanks dick." I said to him.
"So she got drunk. Who cares?" Corey said.
"She cares Corey. It's not like her. She cares about how she acts when she's drunk. She's already embarrassed enough about that whole fucking day! Then you bring it up. It was like pulling teeth to get her to come out tonight. Fuck!" I yelled at him. Corey stood up, walking past me. I sighed and looked at everyone.
"I'm not coming around for a while guys. This isn't fun for anyone. I'm sorry." I said.
"Dude, none of its yours or Gemma's fault. Stop worrying so much." Mick told me. I nodded.
"I need to go. I'll see you guys." I said, walking through the house. I walked out front, and found Jim and Gemma walking down the street. Corey was standing there. He turned to say something to me, and held up my hand.
"Just don't. You've said enough." I said. I walked past him, and down the street. I could hear Gemma crying, and Jim was hugging her. I walked up to them, and Jim looked at me.
"I think she's ready to go man. Corey just tried talking to her again. It didn't help." Jim said.
"No shit. It never does. She ok?" I asked. Gemma hasn't let go of Jim. I think she was at her breaking point.
"No man. Corey saying that shit really upset her. She's already upset about her mom. Corey was being a dick when he came out. Told her that she just needs another drink and to loose up." Jim told me. I turned, and walked back down the street, and up to Corey. I didn't say a word to him, I just cocked back and swung, hitting him in the jaw. I knocked him on his ass, then walked back down the street to them.
Jim had Gemma sitting on the curb at this point. "Nice hit." Gemma said looking up at me. Her eyes were puffy and red, but she stopped crying. I grinned at her.
"Sorry. I was done with that." I said.
"Maybe he will learn to shut up then." Jim laughed. "Come on, I'll walk back with you guys."
We walked back down the street, and stopped at my car. "Thanks Jim. I mean that." I told him.
"Anytime guys. You know that. You gonna be ok Gemma? Or you want me to let Sid lose on someone else?" Jim grinned at her. She actually laughed, which made me smile.
"I'm ok. Thanks Jim." She said, hugging him. We said our goodbyes and pulled away. She grabbed my hand and held on to it.
"Baby? Are you alright?" I asked her.
"I'm getting there. I'm sorry to be the cause of drama again." She said.
"You aren't the problem. Corey is. Let's go home, and get in bed. Then we aren't getting out of bed all day tomorrow either. Except to eat. Maybe use the bathroom. Other than that, it's bed rest and sex." I grinned, making her laugh. "That work?"
"Yeah. We both could use that." She smiled at me.
Almost a month later, Gemma is back to her normal self, which I couldn't be happier about. She went back to work, and she's happy again. I am so glad she's feeling better. I hated seeing her that way. It about killed me.
I had been starting to move some of my stuff to her place too this past month, and getting my house ready to sell. We have been rearranging so much at her place, and we both love it. There is am entire wall we started knocking down, which will open the place up even more. It needs a lot of work, but both her and I are pretty handy.
I'm nervous though. I have to go finish up some stuff back in California, and Jo's gotta go with Blake out of town to some doctor convention that same week, leaving Gemma by herself. It bothers me after she's been robbed twice. And yes, I don't need Corey's ass hanging around, upsetting her. That's all he does is fuck with her now, with shitty comments, or snide remarks. It pisses me off so bad, but Gemma seems to be able to let it go, which is good. I just know one day she will have will of had enough of it and fucking snap.
I was getting ready to leave, and she came up and gave me a hug and a kiss. "I'll miss you so damn much. Alex said he's gonna help you this week. Him and Jim probably." I told her. She smiled and nodded. She was trying not to cry, and failing.
"Thank you. I appreciate it. I love you." She told me.
"I love you to, baby. I'll call you when I get there." I smiled, walking out the door.
