Sid's POV
"Did you want to go with me hang out with the guys for a bit?" I asked her.
"I don't know if that's a good idea, after last night. I don't want to cause any problems with you and your friends." She said.
"You won't. I'll kick Corey's ass if he says anything to you." I told her. I will kick the fucking shit out of him. I already want to.
"Ok, but how do you think this will go over? You know me and you?" She asked
"I don't care. You mean too much to me Gemma." God, does she ever.
"Just for a little bit. Have to stop by the shop and get Bones first." She said. I smiled.
"Let's take him with. That dog is awesome." I grinned.
"Chris won't mind?" She asked.
"He loves dogs. It'll be fine." I smiled at her.
We picked up Bones, and went to Chris's house. We rang the bell, and Chris answered. "Cool fucking dog!" He said, leaning down to pet him. Bones was laying down getting a belly rub now. Some vicious dog.
"Come in guys. Beer is in the fridge. Everyone's out back." Chris said, letting us in. I held Gemma's hand, as we made our way to the fridge. I grabbed us each a beer, and Bones followed us out back.
"That fucking dog better not bite me." We heard Corey say as soon as we walked out.
"Don't be a dick and he won't." Gemma smiled at him. Corey glared at her, as the rest of the guys chuckled. I introduced her to everyone, and they all shook her hand, and greeted her. Corey was stewing. I could tell. Gemma sat on my lap, in one of the chairs, Bones laying right at her feet.
"So, the great fight of hating Sid is over. I'm disappointed Gemma. But, I'll live. Can you at least make the dog bite him? Just once, even." Jim grinned at her. I flipped Jim off and laughed.
"No. Sorry. He about killed Sid and Corey yesterday at my shop though." She grinned at Jim.
"Does he attack on command?" Jim smiled.
"Yeah. But only if I tell him to. It's in another language, so people don't fuck with him." She told Jim.
"Why don't you show him how you get people away from you?" I smiled at her.
She tossed Jim a treat. "Hold that, and back up a bit." She laughed, shaking her head. Jim backed up. "Bones! Counter!" She commanded. That dog went from a dead sleep, to hopping up snarling and barking. "Bones! Down!" She commanded. He laid down instantly and stopped barking.
"Give him the treat, and pet him. Then tell him good boy." She said to Jim. The guys were laughing. Well, except for Corey, who looked pissed. Jim did just as she told him to, and Bones went and put his head in Jim's lap.
"I fucking love this dog!" Jim laughed, petting him.
"He's a good dog." She grinned.
"That's how I almost had my face ripped off yesterday." I laughed.
"Don't fuck with her then." Shawn grinned.
"How did you get an attack dog?" Jay asked her.
"A friend of mine. His dad used to be a cop. Bones didn't make the cut on the force, so he was up for adoption. Had a lot of shit to fill out, and the price. Jesus. They wanted ten for him." She told Jay.
"Ten thousand?" Chris asked in disbelief. She nodded.
"But, because of my friends dad, I got him for five. He's worth it." She smiled.
"I am getting a fucking dog like that, man." Alex said.
We heard Corey mumble something under his breath. "What was that?" Chris asked. Corey sneered at me and Gemma.
"Just wondered how many cage dances you had to give to get that much cash." Corey smirked. You could of heard a pin drop. Everyone looked at us, then at Corey. I looked at Gemma, and she laughed. Everyone turned and looked at her confused.
"Sorry. I don't mean to laugh. He's just mad because I wouldn't let him fuck me last night. Still bitter about that Corey?" She smiled. All of us couldn't hold back our laughter at that. She had him, and he knew it. "I'm not embarrassed to say that I work at Smoke, if that's what you are trying to do. It's cute. It really is. I own my own record store, and work as a cage dancer at Smoke, my uncle's bar. Anything else I should get out there?" Goddamn! Everyone is about pissing themselves laughing. Corey is so fucking pissed!
"Your uncle is Mikey?" Shawn asked in disbelief. She nodded. "Holy shit." Shawn turned to Corey. "Why don't you keep fucking with her? Dumbass." Shawn doesn't get too worked up about Corey's antics most days, but it was clear to all of us, that Corey had crossed the line with what he said to Gemma.
Corey stood up, pissed, and threw his beer behind him. Bones sat up. "Stay." Gemma commanded, holding on to his collar.
"Fuck you!" He yelled at Gemma. Gemma stood up, keeping a hold of Bones.
"It was nice to meet you guys. I'm out." She grabbed Bones leash, as I stood up with her. I grabbed her hand, as we walked through Chris's house to the door. Shawn, Jim and Chris, came rushing in.
"Don't leave, ok? He's an asshole. I'm sorry. I really am." Chris said to us.
"Its fine. I don't want to be a problem or come in between anyone. I really don't. You guys are great. I mean that. Ask Sid. I don't give out complements often." Gemma smiled at them. They laughed.
"See? This is why you guys should stay. Shawn may even try to drown Corey in the pool later. You don't want to miss that." Jim smirked.
"Its true." Shawn laughed. Both Gemma and I couldn't help but laugh.
"I appreciate it. I do. Thank you." Gemma smiled at them.
"Have a beer with us." Chris said in a dramatic voice. She looked at me.
"One beer?" I asked her smiling.
"If he says-" Chris cut her off.
"Shawn will drown him. I swear." Chris smiled.
We walked back outside, seeing Corey sulking. Alex, Jay, and Craig all looked pissed at him. Normally everyone takes his side, so this is hilarious to me. We sat back down, Gemma on my lap. Bones laid back down by Jim, laying his head on Jim's foot.
"Think your dog likes me." Jim laughed.
"He does. He doesn't do that with hardly anyone. That's good." Gemma smiled. She's been smiling all day. I realized how much I missed seeing her smile all the time.
"So, your uncle as crazy as they say he is?" Alex asked her. She laughed and nodded, taking a drink of her beer.
"He's a big teddy bear. Well to me he is. He's been out of trouble for five years now. That's impressive for him." She laughed. She's always known her uncle was the talk of the town. It's never bothered her, and honestly, most people left her alone because of it. I find it funny. Mikey's always been cool to me. When I went in there last night, he already knew I wanted to know where she lived. I just did the DJ thing for fun. Mikey gave me the address right away. I'm not telling her that. Yet.
She leaned back against me, and I slipped my arm around her waist. Jim glanced at us. "How did you go from wanting to kill him last night," Jim paused looking at me, "She carries a switchblade dude. Don't say I didn't warn ya." Jim looked back at Gemma, "and now you guys are like, a couple?"
"You carry a switchblade?" I asked her. What the fuck!
"Yeah." She grabbed it out of her bag, handing it to me. I pushed the button, watching the blade go up. I hit the button again, making it go down. I laughed, handing it back to her. She dropped it back in her bag.
"Why?" I asked.
"In case I gotta cut a bitch, babe." She smiled, making us all laugh. I nodded, laughing.
"Anyways, how?" Jim grinned at us.
She glanced up at me, and laughed. "He showed up like a stray dog and wouldn't go home." She said sarcastically, making me laugh. "Seriously, I don't know. It just happened, I guess." I nodded, smiling at her.
We heard Corey snort, and let out a bitter laugh. "I am sure." He mumbled.
"I have some Midol if you need it, so you can stop acting like such a little bitch." Gemma said sweetly to Corey. Ok, if we already weren't laughing our balls off before at the shit she said, we were fucking crying as we laughed now. We all had fucking tears, and were wiping our eyes as we calmed down. This included Craig, who hardly talks, let alone smiles.
"Maybe you should take some." Corey said. Gemma laughed.
"I am clearly not the one who needs it." She smiled, as we all chuckled. "And it was a joke. Not a dick. Don't take it so hard."
OH. MY. GOD. I wish I had been able to record everyone's reaction to that. Holy shit! I think Corey just met his match. No woman has ever talked shit to him like that. Everyone was about out of their chairs laughing.
"Want me to break him off, babe?" I asked quietly in her ear, as I had calmed down. She smiled and shook her head.
"I'm just getting warmed up. I'm good." She said quietly.
We stayed, finishing our beers. Corey didn't have much to say after that. He just glared at both of us. He was fucking wasted, and won't remember shit tomorrow, unless one of us tells him. But we will all remember everything. Sorry, I know. It's immature, but every now and again, it's needed. Especially after the shit he's done to Gemma.
"Ready, babe?" I asked her. She nodded, standing up.
"Come on Bones." She called to him. Bones sighed, finally lifting his head off of Jim's foot.
"Taking my friend. I see how it is." Jim smiled.
"Stop by the shop, then you two can have a play date." She grinned.
"Deal!" Jim said excitedly. All the guys got up to hug Gemma. Craig even gave her a hug. Wow. They all really like her. Corey sat rolling his eyes at us. We just ignored him.
We loaded Bones up in my car and drove to Gemma's. "I'm sorry Gem." I said to her. "I should of kicked his ass."
"Don't be sorry. Not your fault he's a dick. I handled it, and no violence was needed." She smiled at me.
"That you did. Loved the Midol comment. Fucking nice." I laughed.
"I'd been sitting on that one a while." She smiled, as we got to her place. "Staying tonight?"
"Fuck yes I am." I said, getting out.
Once we got up to her place, we sat on the couch. She laid her head in my lap. " I'm the DJ while you work tomorrow. That bother you?"
"I think it will bother you watching me all night." She laughed. Oh, how right she was.
"I saw you last night. Fuck. It's hot. Can't lie there." I smiled, making her blush.
"I need a shower." She said, getting up. She went to the bathroom, and I heard the water running. Sweet Jesus. All I can think about is water running over her naked body right now. I sat, fidgeting. Do I go in or not? I flipped a coin. Heads I go in, tails I stay. Fuck. Tails. Fuck this. I'm going in.
I headed to the bathroom, taking my shirt off, and quietly opened the door. I undressed as quietly and as fast as possible. I opened the curtain, and she jumped. I stared. Jesus. She has soap and water running all over her perfect fucking body. I got in, shutting the curtain. She didn't get a chance to say anything, because I was all over her.
I leaned her against the wall, feeling her leg go around my waist, making me unable to resist thrusting into her. "Damn."I whispered to her, hearing her moan. She held on to me, as I moved into her. She was kissing me, and clawing at my back, making me nip at her neck, as I moved faster. I needed her so damn bad, and I didn't know why. I just did.
"Oh my God. Sid, don't stop." She panted, holding on to me tighter. I kept moving just like I had been, feeling her tightening more around me.
"Baby. Goddamn." I panted, moving hard, as I felt her tighten hard on me, making me move one last time, as I saw stars and my world exploded.
We leaned against each other, catching our breath. I gently let go of her leg, as we slid to the floor of the large shower. "I can't move." She said, making me smile.
"We can sit here a while." I said. And we did. Finally, we finished our showers, and got out. We were both so tired. She wrapped a towel around herself, walking to the bedroom, as I did the same. She laid down, not taking the towel off. I grinned, taking mine off, and getting under the covers. She took hers off, and got into bed with me. I held on to her as we both passed out.
I woke up the next morning, hearing whispering in the other room. I listened to Jo and Gemma talking. "So? Tell me. You and Sid, huh? About time."
"Oh my God, Jo! Yes. I'm happy. Really, really happy for the first time in years. I've missed him so much." Gemma said. I smiled, hearing her say that.
"I know. You didn't shut up about him for years. About time you admitted it to yourself. Look Gem, I just don't want you hurt again. Remember the day I found you? I don't want to see you like that ever again, ok? What's with this Corey asshole? Do Blake and I need to have a few words with him?" Jo asked. I had to put my hand over my mouth, so I wouldn't laugh at that last part about Corey.
"No. I took care of it last night. Sid will take care of it if Corey keeps being an asshole. I'm fine though. Tell Blake thank you." I heard her giggle. I decided to go out and actually meet Jo. I threw on some clothes, and walked into the living room, seeing them sitting on the couch. They both looked up at me and smiled.
"Hey. I'm Sid. You must be Jo?" I asked, holding my hand out to him. Jo stood, shaking my hand. Fuck! This guy has to be like 6'5 and 250 easy. And it's nothing but muscle. Christ he has a fucking grip. He let go of my hand and nodded.
"Yeah. That's me. About time you two worked all your bullshit out." Jo grinned at Gemma. She laughed and flipped him off.
"So, how's the music world? Have a tour soon?" Jo asked me.
"Just wrapped up one about a month ago. Glad to be home. Almost a year of being gone, on a bus with eight other guys, it gets old in a hurry." I told him, sitting in the recliner.
"Jo wouldn't mind a bus with eight other guys." Gemma grinned at Jo. Jo laughed and flipped her off.
"Yeah, yeah, asshole. She loves fucking with me." Jo told me. I laughed and nodded.
"Whatever. You and Blake both know that I love you guys." She grinned at him. He laughed and nodded.
"Yeah, we do. Speaking of Blake, he wants you two to come over soon to have dinner with us. Like maybe next week?" He asked her.
"Sure. Name a time and place, and we'll be there." I said. Jo's face lit up, and he smiled at me, and so did Gemma.
"Awesome. Blake wants to show you the quilt he made. It's really nice." He told Gemma.
This dude is a fucking giant. I have nothing against anyone being gay, straight, whatever. As long as they are happy, I'm happy for them. But, this guy doesn't give off a hint of being gay. Can't wait to meet his boyfriend. This is awesome. I like this guy. He treat Gemma like she's a sister. I can tell he's taken care of her.
"I can't wait to see it. Is he still working crazy hours?" She asked him. Jo nodded.
"Doctor life. Gotta love the emergency room. I love the stories he has when he comes home, though. Jesus." They both laughed.
"Me too. I miss him. Haven't seen him in almost a month." She said.
"I haven't hardly seen him in a month either. He has vacation coming up soon. He wants us to take a trip for a week. I don't know how I feel about leaving you alone at the store for that long." He told her. Wow, he's gonna put off a vacation just to make sure she's ok? Shit, this guy is golden in my book.
"Go on your vacation, man. I'll be here. I'll make sure she's ok. Go have fun with your man." I smiled at him. They both looked surprised, but elated.
"You...you don't mind, Sid? I mean-" I stopped him.
"Not at all. It's the least I can do. Seriously. Thank you for looking out for her all these years." I said sincerely. Jo looked like a kid with as happy as he was.
"Thank you. I gotta go call Blake. See you in a bit Gem. Thanks Sid!" Jo almost ran out the door, making us both laugh.
"Thank you Sid. That really means a lot to all three of us." She smiled. I looked at her seriously.
"Gemma, can you tell me how bad the robbery was?" I asked gently. She went almost white, and looked down.
"I will Sid. I just can't right now. Please?" She pleaded with me.
"Gemma, when you want to, is what I meant. Tell me when you want to." I said, watching her perk up slightly. She grinned and nodded.
"So, I think you may be a hero to Jo and Blake." She grinned. I couldn't help but laugh.
"I don't mind at all. I should go home and shower. Don't you have to go down to the shop soon?" I grinned.
"Yeah. We are working on a new display today. Then I get to work tonight. So do you, I guess." She laughed. "What are you doing today?"
"I have to run a few errands, but I'll be back by like three, if that's cool?" I asked. She grinned and rolled her eyes at me.
"Ya don't need my permission Sid." She laughed.
I got up and sat next to her. "Duh, I know." I laughed, watching her smile. "I just wasn't sure how much you want me around."
"We used to be attached at the hip. Why would I care how often you were around me?" She grinned. I wanted to high five myself, hearing that.
"Good. Because I'm hardly going to leave your side." I said, kissing her.
"Better not. Dick." She grinned, making me laugh.
"I really don't plan on it." I told her. She's gonna have a hell of a time making me go home at night. I'm not going anywhere this time.
Later that night, I was in the DJ booth, deciding what to play next. Out of the corner of my eye, I got a glimpse of Gemma dancing. Fuck me. The cages are really tall, and really wide too. Each one has a stripper pole in it. Again, no clothing is being removed, but very little is worn.
I have no idea when or how she learned to dance, but goddamn does she know how to work a crowd. She spun arround the pole, and somehow managed to turn herself upside down, and slowly slide down it. Sweet fucking Christ. I actually dropped the record I had in my hand. I quickly picked it up, trying to focus on the music I was supposed to be playing. I saw her smirk at me, as she spun around the pole again. I smiled at her, and went back to what I was doing, trying to not look her way. I was failing.
"Alright, you can gawk at her for this song and that's it Siddy." I heard Mikey laughing behind me. I felt my face get red, and spun around, not sure what to say. "It's alright man. If it was anyone else, it wouldn't be cool. You know that." I laughed, relieved that Mikey wasn't going to kill me.
"Sorry man." I grinned.
"Nah. About time you two got your shit together. At least I know you won't hurt her. She ain't had the best luck with dudes." He said.
"Yeah. That little fucker Aaron." I snarled. Mikey smirked and nodded.
"Ain't gotta worry about that asshole anymore. I made his ass leave the state. He ain't coming around her again." Mikey laughed. I do not doubt what he just said either. Aaron probably couldn't leave fast enough when Mikey got a hold of him.
"Good. I ever see him, I'm gonna kill him." I said, feeling pissed again.
"Aww, Siddy. You can rest assured, that fucker ain't stepping foot back here. I'll know if he does." Mikey grinned with his crazy smile. I'm not scared of Mikey, only because we are buds, and I've known him all my life. Everyone else is terrified of him, and for good reason. Gemma hasn't had a good role model in her life. Mikey, is as close as she got to one.
"Good to hear man. Thanks. I mean that." I told him. He slapped me on the back as he walked past, moving me forward. The dude is a fucking giant man. Makes Mick look small. Mikey is fucking crazy, and I am glad I've always been on his good side, and I plan on staying on that side, too.
A few hours later, and we were done. It was a long few hours of watching her. Goddammit. I can barely get her out of my mind when I'm not with her, but seeing her tonight, sweet Jesus. I had a hard time not staring.
I was driving us back to my house, so I could grab some clothes, as I had no intentions of leaving her place tonight. She looked exhausted, and seemed to have a lot on her mind. We pulled into my driveway, and headed inside.
"Hey, what's wrong, Gem?" I asked after we got inside.
"Just really tired. I think two years of two jobs is catching up to me finally." She said, sitting on my bed.
"Why don't you quit one then?" I asked. She shook her head.
"Can't. I need to be able to pay Jo." She said, laying back on my bed.
"You pay him four thousand a month?" I asked. She grinned at me and didn't say anything. "For real?" No fucking way.
"Not quite that much. He never asked me to. I just do. I feel like it's the only way I can repay him and Blake." She said, sitting back up.
"And does he realize that you are working to pay him this much each month?" I asked.
"Sid, he hates taking a paycheck from me. He bitches everytime I pay him, and tells me to quit. I just can't quit, and I can't not pay him." She said. Jesus is Jo a fucking saint on earth? Christ, I may want to date this guy. I'm kidding. I'm not into dudes.
"Babe, you are wearing yourself out. You know this right?" I asked. She grinned and nodded. "This is because you are worried that you are going to end up like your parents. You haven't and you won't. Don't you see that?"
"Yes. It is. They are freeloading pieces of shit. I refuse to end up like them. I'm not going to be a strung out druggie, and homeless. I have a lot of pride in myself." She said. I sat next to her, and turned to face her. I held on to her hands.
"Gemma, that's never happening. You have nothing in your life to be ashamed of. You won't end up like them. Ever. Think about cutting back a little bit. Please?" I asked. She smiled softly and nodded. I gave her a quick kiss. "I'll pay ya to dance for me." I said, watching her laugh.
"You liked that, huh? Dropping the records even? So unlike you." She laughed. I felt my face turn a little red.
"Yeah, well I was a little focused on you." I grinned. She laughed and kissed me. I got up throwing stuff in a bag. "Come on. Let's get some sleep. I'm tired from staring at you all night." She giggled, getting up. I shut the light off in my room, as we headed downstairs.
I shut off the other lights in my house, and opened the front door, coming face to face with Corey. Both Gemma and I stopped dead in our tracks.
"Didn't realize you had company." Corey said flatly to me.
Gemma grabbed my keys to my car that I was holding. "I'll be in the car." She said shoving past Corey.
"Wow. She hates my guts, huh?" He laughed.
"Yeah. You were an asshole to her. Do you blame her?" I glared at him.
"I wasn't that bad." Corey smirked. I almost hit him.
"Only because you were shit faced, and you don't think you were that bad. You were a complete dick to her last night." I could feel my hands shaking, and I wanted to fucking hit him. "Throwing your beer? Yelling at her? Asking how many cage dances she has to give to afford something? Any of that ring a bell asshole?" I could tell it was starting to come back to him. He rubbed his neck nervously, and pinched the bridge of his nose.
"Fuck! I am an asshole." He said. I nodded. "I need to apologize to her."
"You've done enough Corey. Stay away from her. She's pissed, and she will rip your fucking head off and hand it to you. Leave her alone." I said, watching his face fall.
"I just want to tell her I'm sorry. I am Sid. That was why I came over. I didn't mean to show up drunk at her place." He said.
"Didn't mean to treat her like shit when she didn't want to fuck you either, huh? Seriously Corey? Why would you do that to her? I told you not to fuck with her, and you did." I heard my voice raising more. I looked over at Gemma in the car, who was smirking now.
"I don't know. I shouldn't of, obviously. I just-" I cut him off.
"Doesn't matter. She's with me now, so back off." I said, closing my door. I started walking past him.
"For real?" Corey laughed.
"What?" I asked annoyed.
"You two are really together?" He asked, not believing me.
"Yeah, asshole!" I heard Gemma yell from the car, making me laugh. I could tell Corey was pissed, and this time, he was sober and will remember it.
"Wow. She moves on quick." He said. Before I could say anything, I heard the car door slam, and saw her walk up.
"You just fucked up man." I laughed to Corey.
"Got a problem with me, fuck bag?" She snarled at Corey. He took a step back, surprised.
"Goddamn, calm the fuck down." Corey laughed. Oh, shit. He shouldn't of done that.
"Fuck you. Quit being a dick every time you see me. Grow the fuck up. Christ, news flash, not everyone wants to fuck you, Corey." She said. His eyes narrowed at her. I had to bite my tounge to not laugh.
"I told you I didn't want to, and you acted like a fucking dick. You got pissed and left. Then you had the fucking balls to sit and talk shit to me last night. All because I didn't want to fuck you." She glared. Corey's eyes went wide
"Jesus Christ chick, you are fucking something else. That wasn't what I was pissed about. I showed back up that night, and Sid is there? You were kissing me, right before he got there. See the problem?" He asked. Gemma laughed.
"Nope. I don't. And you may have forgotten that you kissed me. I'm done. I don't even fucking care to be honest. This has to be the dumbest shit I have listened to in a while. Sid, I'm leaving. I'll fucking walk if I have to. Don't care." She said. I Iaughed, grabbing her arm.
"I'll take you. Calm down, babe." I said to her. "You good Corey, or have something else shitty to say to her?"
"Whatever. Fuck this." Corey said, walking to his car. He slammed his door, and sped off. Both Gemma and I looked at each other and laughed.
"He doesn't handle rejection well, does he?" She laughed.
"No. He doesn't. Let's go, I'm tired after hearing that bullshit." I grinned. We got in the car, and she pulled me over to her.
"Thank you. For sticking up for me, and letting me yell at him." I laughed and nodded, as she kissed me hard, her hands moving to the front of my jeans.
"Oh, fucking hell." I muttered against her lips. She moved her hand, rubbing me through my jeans. I pulled back from her. "We need to leave, before the neighbors get a show." I grinned. She laughed, as we pulled away from my house.
