Dangerously In Love

I didn't really get much sleep last night due to the very unfortunate situation of hearing ex girlfriend getting her back blown out by a so called friend, who i thought was gay. I started to get a little hungry so i hit up Blue and Chris inviting them over for breakfast before i got up and started to cook. My phone started to ring and Winter's name flashed across the screen. I rolled my eyes in pure annoyance as hit the decline button but all that did was just make her call right back. I grabbed the pot of grits off the stove and began to walk out the kitchen as the sound of footsteps coming down the stairs and people talking filled my ears.

"Y'all hungry?" I asked Winter and Jahdiah as i stirred the hot pot of grits in my hands while they both stared at me as if they had just seen a ghost.

"N-No i'm okay i'm not really a breakfast kinda person" Jahdiah stumbled out rubbing the back of his neck.

"Baby where have you been?" Winter asked trying her best to sound concerned "I've been so worried Jahdiah had to come over and comfort me last night."

The front door opened grabbing our attention and in walked Blue and Chris. Blue almost immediately bursted into a fit of laughter at the scene.

"I think ima just go" Jahdiah said trying to slip away.

"Nah you should stay for breakfast" I insisted as i sat the pot of grits down on the table.

"I'm not really hungry" he said eagerly trying to decline.

"No really you should stay" Chris semi snapped at him "Babe" Winter innocently said moving closer to me.

"Have a seat breakfast is ready...babe" I said motioning to the empty chair "Are you okay?" she asked taking a seat at the table.

I ignored Winter and went back into the kitchen grabbing the rest of the food and some plates to bring back over to the table where everyone was seated. I sat down at the head of the table, Blue sat to the right of me with Chris seated right beside her, Winter took the seat on my left right across from Blue while Jahdiah took the seat right across from Chris. The air in the room was so thick with tension you could probably cut it with a knife.

"Did you um do anything to the food?" Jahdiah asked poking at the food on his plate with a fork.

"Why would i do that?" I asked raising my eyebrow and he quickly shrugged "I-I don't know i was just messing" he tried to laugh off.

"Then eat the food" I said sternly staring him down.

"I'm not really hungry" he replied shaking his head.

"Eat the food" I demanded growing annoyed with him.

"I have stuff to do today" he said standing up from the table and i sighed in annoyance "sit down Jahdiah."

"No, Ace i'm sorry okay i was wrong i shouldn't have fucked Winter but i don't wanna die over this" he exclaimed nervously.

"Jahdiah what? We never fucked!" Winter lied straight through her porcelain teeth and Blue laughed loudly before taking a bite of her food.

"Sit down and eat the food is getting cold" I demanded rolling my eyes.

Jahdiah hesitated for a second but eventually sat back down and i picked up my fork to eat my food. Once Jahdiah noticed that none of us were dying from eating the food he seemed comfortable enough to finally start eating.

"The food is good babe" Winter spoke up breaking the silence and i rolled my eyes.

"On a scale 1-10 how dumb do you think i am Winter?" I asked very monotone as i looked over at her.
