Chapter 2 – Barbeque for Dinner

Nate’s P.O.V

“Opps. Gotta ring dad.” Nalie said as she brought out her phone. I call her a lot of nicknames, but Nalie is her real one. Dad came up with it when we’re still living together as a family.

“He’s not answering. Probably in the middle of discussions with some clients. I’ll just text him instead.”

After about 10 minutes I glanced at her side and saw her fast asleep. She must be so tired. I pulled up on the drive way and just left her there. I didn’t bother to wake her up. She must be exhausted. I took inside all of her bags and placed them on the living room. Then I went towards the passenger seat and carried her inside. I laid her slowly on the couch not wanting for her to wake up. It’s already 7 in the morning. I took a blanket and placed it over her body.

“Hey. Hey. Hey. Pretty boy’s got a lady over.” A guy’s voice said out lout. I quickly turned to face him and placed my finger over my lips signaling a “SHH”. He looked at me with arms up. I pushed them towards the kitchen so that my sister could have some rest after her trip.

“What the fuck?” I hissed towards Louis. He’s a loud and cheerful dude so you could totally expect him to do that. But I didn’t cause I didn’t hear them come in. they just barge in like it’s their home.

“Chill man. We didn’t know you had company.” Niall said while taking out some cereal and milk.

“Yeah. Who’s that? New love?” Liam asked. He went towards Niall and grabbed a couple of cups and poured some milk on one and some cereal on the other. He’s got some weird fetish towards spoons.

“Ew. Dude, that’s my sister!” I was totally disgusted by the fact that some people actually thought we’re a couple. But, I don’t blame them. She’s a total keeper and I’m not ugly as well.

“You have a sister?” Zayn asked me with a confused look. Like he just heard some lie. “Since when?”

“Yeah? How come you never told us?” Harry asked with the same look as Zayn.

“I told you about her! You just probably forgot. Besides, you get swarmed by different girls all the time.”

“When exactly?” Harry continued to ask.

“When you saw her picture in my wallet, remember?”

“That was her?!” they all asked at same time, shock written all over their faces. It’s like they just heard Angelina and Brad adopted another kid.

“She looks.. different! She’s way.. different.” Louis exclaimed.

“Yeah well, 3 years is enough time for her to change that much.”

We walked towards the dining table and watched t.v while chatting and laughing but making sure not loud enough to wake Natalie up. I glanced over at my watch; it’s already 6:30. We were silent for a moment watching the re-run of friends; when Natalie walked in stretching and yawning. She went straight to the counter top and sat herself on one of the bar stools; grabbing some cereal and milk. We watched her silently on our seats. I looked over the guys and they we’re watching her every move. She didn’t even realize the other 5 guys sitting on the dining staring at her.

I cleared my throat and the guys turned their heads towards me. I smiled and stood up. Not one single glance from Nalie. I walked towards the other side of the counter, opposite Nalie.

“Hey!” I greeted as she ate a spoonful of cereal.

“Hey. I’m hungry.” She said after she swallowed.
