The forest. The sound of wolves howling at the moon. Grasshoppers chirping, Owls hooting. So peaceful, I think, a smile tugging at my lips. The moon, so big and bright in the starry night sky. All of a sudden, I hear footsteps. A group of them. I smile. They've come back. I quickly put my hunting shoes on, and exit my tent, along with a few other girls. Lady Artemis, in her twelve-year old form, was leading a group of hunters with three deer, three bags of berries, and a few squirrels. Looks like we'll be having leftovers after tonight. "Y/N! Come help with the berries!" Lady Artemis said, and I ran to go help.
I took the bags of berries, cleaned them in a nearby stream, sorted them into color, then further separated them by type of berry. I put them all into a bowl, mixed them, and then put them into small side bowls on the table outside.
What next? I wonder. Then widen my eyes and snap, an idea coming back. That's it! I say in my mind, and go get a coconut, from when we visited Hawaii to deal with a few telkhines building a forge in a volcano there.
I get the juice out of it by poking a hole into it, break it open after about a minute or two, and take another five minutes taking the coconut meat(the white stuff on the inside) out. A mimute later, with slightly sore arms, I have a drink of coconut juice for myself, and a fruit salad with coconut flakes and chunks mixed in. I smile, feeling a bit proud of my work, and put it on the table.
"Nice work, Y/N. Sit down and rest for awhile, okay?" Artemis asked, patting a spot beside her. I smile, and nod.
