AUTHOR'S NOTE: You may recognize elements of this chapter. This used to be Chapter 16ish Trouble Brewing, that I wrote in September. I liked that story, but needed to put in with what I have written since I wrote this chapter. I fixed. and expanded the original story to what I think is something a lot better. I hope that it fits with what I have written so far.  I tried publishing this chapter earlier but it didn't work and look the way I wanted it to.  So I had to redo it.  Got to love technical difficulties, and a little OCD.   I hope you enjoy the new chapter.

"I see the bad moon a-rising
I see trouble on the way
I see earthquakes and lightning
I see bad times today..."

Creedence Clearwater Revival

Have you ever woken up one the evil side of the bed? Have you ever had the feeling that no matter what you were going to be grounded, spanked, or some form of trouble?

Well, I did and based on the look on Jen's face she had it too.

It was a beautiful Saturday afternoon in October. It was nice and cool outside the leaves were changing colors. We were one week away from Homecoming, and almost three weeks away from the first time I got drunk in my new body.

My Dad took my brothers hunting and fishing, and they would not be back until dark. I don't know why they took them since they are both grounded. Then on top of that Ma thought she would go see the new Disney Pixar movie with Nic even though she's grounded. Got to love double standards for the oldest and youngest kids.

Jen and I who are not grounded, couldn't go hunting, even though we really didn't want to go, or to the movies, which we did. Our Great Aunt assigned a term paper that was due on Monday, and we both had a lot of work to do. So instead of having fun we were stuck doing school work.

Mom calls us laughing telling us that they are going to go shopping and then out for dinner.

"That's not fair Mom" Jen says. "We want to go shopping too and get food."

"Girls finish your paper, and make yourselves some Ramon noodles and sandwiches for dinner. We should be home by 8 around the same time your father and brothers should be home. Both of your papers better be done."

"Yes, Ma'am" we both reply to the phone.

An hour later, I finally finish my rough draft and bibliography. Jen is still working on her rough draft, but has the fried look on her face.

"You hungry" I ask.

"Yeah but I don't want Ramon noodles, I want good Chinese food. I want to see the new Jennifer Lawrence romantic comedy."

"Me too, I could really go for some food from Happy Tiger."

"But that is in Rome."

"You know what else is in Rome, Mount Berry Movie Theater? Ma and Nic went to the Carmike here in town."

"What are we going to do drive there?"

"Why not? You know I know how to drive from our supper dare from a few weeks ago. Blake's truck is still here. I know he gassed it up yesterday. Its 2:30 so we could go see the movie eat and still be back before Mom and Dad get home."

"I like it, but no cops this time, Allie."

"Jen, I promise you this, we will have a good time no matter what."

"What the Hell! I am tired of doing this stupid term paper. We both deserve to have some fun."

I grab Blake's keys, Jen grabs the emergency money, aka the credit card that Ma says we can only use in an emergency when they are not home. To me this is an emergency. We both get in Blake's truck.
