I quickly fell asleep especially when I felt Bane curl up next to my head and start purring.
What seemed like early the next morning Mommy came to wake us all up for school.
"I don't feel good, I don't want to go to school," I whined.
Mom being mom, felt my head, and then stuck a thermometer in my mouth. After a minute or so it read 97.8.
"You are fine, get up and get dressed you are going. Now you can choose with a sore butt or not. Don't forget you have an appointment with Dr. Gordon today after school. I am taking you home don't get on the bus.
"You're mean Mommy! I don't want to go to the stupid doctor."
She gave me a look like I better not say another word and get moving.
I quickly got dressed. I put on a black Black Sabbath t-shirt with the "Ironman" lyrics in blood red with a fearsome looking Iron Man in the background.

I put on some jeans and converses then went out to eat with the family. Mark was nice and saved me some raisin brand.
"Blake is there any way I can ride with you to school," I ask?
"Nope, Mom told me the only one who can get a ride is Allison, you in particular have to ride the bus."
"We don't have to tell Mommy; we can keep it between us kids."
"No thank you Mom always finds out and I like being the good kid and not in trouble" Blake says wisely.
"Blake come on" I beg.
"Nope not happening. Blake looks at his watch. I have to leave to pick up Allison and Riley."
"Hey why does Riley get a ride and I don't" I whine ask.
WHAP
"Knock it off Allie," as my older sister Gibb slaps me across the back of the head.
"Hey! That hurt."
"It was supposed to. Mom wants everyone to school on the bus," Christy says.
I try a different tactic.
"Blake, I think I'm sick I need to stay home.
He comes over and feels my head.
"You are fine, but if you want, we can take your temperature the way we did when you were a baby" Blake suggests.
"How was it done when we were a baby" Nic asks innocently?
"It goes up in your butt hole" Christy says bluntly. "Allie, I know where the Vaseline is. We can do it right here."
"Uummm, no thank you I'm fine. I'll go to school."
"Good choice," Blake says.
I grab my bag and head out to the bus. Five minutes later the rest of my siblings come and join me.
"Are you nervous about today" Jen asks?
"A little... ok a lot. Not sure what I'm going to say to Lisa, the rest of our friends or Liam."
"It will be alright" Jen says warmly.
"I wish I had your faith."
The bus came a few minutes later. When I got on, I saw Lisa, Liam and Celina. Lisa and Liam waved me over to sit with them. When I see them all of my memories about them from before the accident come flooding into my head, and they are not good memories. Instead of sitting with them, I walked past them to the last seat on the bus. Jen sits with Lisa and starts talking. I see them looking back at me from time to time, but I pull out a book and ignore them. I really can't deal with anyone.
