CHAPTER 4

YUAN's POV

After 2weeks of being a center of attention, my quiet life is back. Sa loob ng two weeks, ako ang naging laman ng usapan hanggang sa umabot ito ng social media, but thanks to the Dean he really did something para matigil na ang usapan tungkol sa isyu nitong nakaraan lalong-lalo na sakin. I became cold towards other people after I heard what humans talks about me.

"Hey Yuan, do you have any plans this coming semester break?" Gessary asked breaking the silence out of our table. We're in canteen taking our break. And for a surprise, Conor joined us. He said he don't have any friends here since he's just a newbie since kami lang naman ang kakilala nya ng pumasok sya dito sa academy. I can't say a no dahil hinila na sya ni Gessary kaya wala nakong nagawa. At naiilang nako sa mga titig na binibigay sa akin ng british boy na ito. Every step I make nakatingin sya.

"Aside from reading books and sleep at home. Wala na." I said at sumubo muli sa spaghetti na nasa harap ko. I love the taste of the spaghetti here, tama lang ang pakakatimpla ng sauce, hindi gaanong matamis hindi rin gaanong maasim. Spaghetti is my most favorite kaya tuwing may okasyon sa bahay ito agad ang hinahanap ko.

"Boring talaga neto. Let's visit Zambaonga then. I heard there's a pink beach there." She said excitedly. I just nod at her, ngumiti naman ito na parang sinasabing 'mission accomplish' she always use this 'puppy eyes' thingy, so people say yes to her and grant her favor. I sigh.

"Conor would you join us? it's boring if just the two of us." Gessary said and look at Conor. What the hell is this Lady thinking? is she not aware that I don't like Conor being around?

Conor look at me "If Yuan like me to come, I'll come then." He said. Then Gessary look at me. What the fck this man thinking? I'm not his father para pag-paalaman nya na kung pwede ba syang sumama sa isang outing.

"You're insane." I only utter.

"Okey Yuan said yes. So Conor you'll come with us okay? don't make pansin nalang kay Yuan." Gessary interpret wrongly. I gaze to Conor and he look confused. Eh?

"What's that face?" I asked him.

"What's pansin kay Yuan?" He asked in a bulol tone. I look at Gessary, she stopped from eating ng ma-realize nya kung ano ang nasabi nya. Hindi nakakaintindi ng tagalog si Conor kaya hirap ang ilang istudyanteng maintindihan sya, kasi not all of us here in the academy are fluent sa english.

Nag-patuloy nalang ako kumain at si Gessary na ang nag-paintindi kay Conor kung ano ang nasabi nito sa kanya.

I saw in my peripheral vision someone entered the canteen and there it's Homer with a girl clinging on his arms. I don't know but my heart stop beating. I feel like wanted to explode something but I don't know what it is.

Nag-lilibot ang kanyang paningin na parang may hinahanap. Tumigil ito ng mag-kasalubong ang aming mga mata. Those eyes, diko alam bat ko nararamdaman to. Ako na mismo ang unang nagbitiw. Nawalan ako ng gana lalo ng ngumiti ang babae sa kanya at sinuklian nya ito ng matamis na ngiti na kahit kailan ay diko pa nakikita. If I were the girl, I'll run for my life. She don't have any idea who is the guy that she was dating.

"I'll go ahead now." I said at tumayo na. Pipigilan pa sana ako nila Gessary ngunit nakatalikod na ako.

Malapit nako sa direksyon nila Homer. Nakasunod ang tingin nya sakin ngunit di ko ito binibigyan ng pansin. Hanggang sa mag-kasalubungan na kami.

I closed my eyes for a second. When a tragic memory ang biglang nag-flash sa isip at ang rason kung bakit ako napunta sa eskwelahang ito. I sigh again. I said to my self it will never gonna happen again.

He's about to grab my arms pero lumayo ako ng konti kaya di niya naabot ang braso ko. Hanggang sa naka-labas nako ng canteen. I feel like suffocating habang dumadaan sa gilid nila Homer.

Dapat sa una palang lumayo nako sa kanya. I don't want this feelings go farther, hanggang sa ako lang ang masasaktan.

I shake the thought of falling inlove with him.

Kinuha ko ang mga librong kakailanganin namin sa locker ko. Pag-sara ko ng locker ko ay nagulat ako sa lalaking nakatayo sa gilid—Homer. He's staring at me blankly.

"What do you need?" I asked. And I'm so thankful that I was born na mabilis maka-recover pag ginugulat.

Di ito nagsalita instead bigla nito akong niyakap. Di agad ako nakapag react. Yung puso ko parang biglang nabuhay muli sa biglang pag-hinto nito mula kanina. Diko alam ang gagawin ko, para akong tuod na niyayakap nya. I can hear his heavy breath near to my neck.

"Homer?" I whispered trying to push him pero shet bang lakas nya talaga.

"You already know what I really wanted since then.." He stopped then let go of me, he look at me straight into my eyes "it's you, Yuan."

"You're really crazy." I blurted out.

"I'm crazy over you, Yuan." He said that makes my face turn red. This is so gay.

"What the hell!" I murmured. Umiwas ako sa mga tingin nyang binibigay. He's eyes saying something that I can't understand. Why me? we're both good looking guys for Zeus sake? "You are really insane Homer." I just said at tumalikod na.

"Ano bang gagawin ko, Yuan. Just to be with you? I'll do everything just to have you." He shouted. putanvsbajkskplgjsksls what is he doing? I hid my face using the books that I am holding. Some of the students here are looking at us right now confused of what they heard from Homer. This jerk is always putting me on trouble.

"I--" I was about to give him speech when he suddenly grab my wrist, diko alam paano nya ako nahila basta ang alam ko nandito na kami sa parking lot.

"Where are you going to take me? May mga klase pa tayong dapat pasukan." I said habang pilit kong hinihila pabalik ang sarili ko sa loob ng campus.

"Just trust me." He said, I just sighed. And he gave me a sweet smile kaya napaiwas agad ako ng tingin. Nasa harap na kami ng motor nya at isinuot ang helmet sakin. Tangina di ako babae for petes sake, Homer!

"Come on, Yuan. Sumakay kana." He said and start the engine. I sigh. Nandito nako eh hahabulin lang muli ako neto kapag tumakbo ako. Ngumiti ulit ito sakin ng makita nyang sumakay na ako sa likod nya.

He's not the usual Homer na ngumingiti. He's a man of few words. And base on what I can see he doesn't care about his environment or to anyone. What are you doing, Homer. Am I falling on your trap.

I firmly grip on his shirt ng mas lalong bumilis ang pagpapatakbo nya.

"Are you going to kill me, Homer!" I screamed. But I just heard him chuckled at naramdaman ko namang binagalan nya na ang takbo. "Where are we going?" I ask again.

"Somewhere where we can be one."
