Chapter 2

  We finally found our parents outside of Borgin & Burkes. "There you two are. We must be heading home now." Draco's mother, Narcissa, said as we walked up. "Who is this?" My dad asked, noticing the kitten. "I haven't named her yet. But i'm thinking Pandora" I said, looking up at him. "Pandora?" he said questioningly. "yeah after Pandora's box. The one that brought destruction to the world." I said laughing. "Draco darling you're father and I must be leaving, would you like to stay with Severus or come with us?" Draco's mom said to him. "I'd like to stay." he said back looking at me. After his parents left, the three of us went to get some candy and ice cream then headed home.
At home me and Draco ran to our secret hideout, which is actually just a room way at the top of our manor that no one goes in but me and him. "so are you ready to go to Hogwarts lyn?" he said, looking at me. "honestly... i'm a little scared." I said finally. "Aww don't worry, you'll have me there." He said back. "I'm scared co..." I finally said while looking down. Usually he would have laughed at my nickname for him, but this time he just looked worried, "scared of what, lyn?" he asks. "Being sorted into the wrong house... not making friends.." I say quietly. "Aww don't worry lyn we'll always be friends." He says laughing lightly. "What if i'm not put in Slytherin? Will we still be friends then?" I ask, looking up at him again. He looks taken aback for a second, then puts a soft face back on, "of course we will lyn, even if you're not put in Slytherin." He says while patting my head. I huff and brush his hand away, "I'm not a child stop doing that." "you're younger than me, I'll do it if I want." He laughs, running away when I run after him. "Catch me if you can short stuff" He calls while running down the stairs. "Co, come baaaack" I whine, standing on the stairs and pouting. "Come on lyn don't pull that face." Draco says while walking back up to me. "Evelyn come get this pest of yours" we hear my father call from down stairs. "Oh no!! I forgot Pandora!!" I say while running down the stairs. When I get to where they are Pandora is sitting in front of dad staring at him. "She's been doing this no matter where I go. Grab her." He says, looking at me. "Yes father." I say before scooping her up in my arms, "come on, let's go play" I coo to her, taking her up the stairs to mine and Draco's room. When I walk in, Draco is sitting in the middle of the floor, flipping through one of the books we have. "Co, look at her. Isn't she adorable?" I ask, sitting in front of him on the floor. Pandora jumps out of my arms and walks up to him, sniffing his hands. As he reaches out to pet her, she smacks his hand and runs away. "... adorable..." he says glumly. I laugh and say "the first girl to not fall for you. How do you feel?" He laughs and playfully pushes my shoulder. After an hour or so dad comes up saying it's time for dinner. Me and Draco clean up and grab Pandora and head down to the dining area. "Draco, would you like me to send you home or do you wish to stay here?" dad asked him after we finish eating. "Could I stay here uncle?" draco asks. "Of course." dad responds before going to contact draco's parents. "Come on draco. Lets go get ready for bed." I say, heading toward my room.
