Nuriyah's pov

I shut out my thoughts and slowly opened my eyes. Two distinctively blue lines stared back at me. With a + 3 next to them. I covered my face with my hands for a few seconds before uncovering it thinking one line might disappear. But thank Allah it didn't. My heart beginning beat so loud at the realisation;

"Ya Rabbi I am going to be a mama"! I exclaimed with an overwhelming feeling of joy I had never felt before.

"I

AM

GOING

TO

BE

A

MAMA"

I repeated my heart fluttering.

-

I didn't care if this happened earlier than we expected, I couldn't wait to tell Rodrigo.

Right now he's in our bed fast asleep. I tiptoe and slip back under the covers next to him.

I close my eyes but sleep doesn't come . My mind being filled with millions questions that I couldn't wait to have answers to.

The one being most repeated "How am I going to announce this to Rodrigo"?

This is our first baby so it had to be memorable.

I reached for my phone that was on the bedside table. I unlocked it and tapped the App Store before searching for a pregnancy app. I found a nice one clicked install. Leaving the app store in the background I went to Pinterest and searched pregnancy announcement.

But as much as I like Pinterest I didn't find an idea that I liked, it felt to impersonal to copy an idea on something this important.

I looked at the time it was 22:30 so it must be 17:30 in New York. I slipped out of bed and walked out room closing the door behind me gently not wanting to disturb Rodrigo with the noise, we all know how loud Layla can be.

Now in the kitchen I open Whatsapp and looked for her in my recent calls before dialing.

"How are you"? She says after she picks up my video call and makes Salaam. She's in her kitchen and it looks like she's creating another one of her about to be famous dishes.

"I'm good Alhamdulillah and you"? I ask naturally.

"Oh My Word you have something to tell me don't you"?

"How did you know that"?! I gasp.

"Whenever you have good news you say "good Alhamdulillah" which is a double positive from your normal Alhumdulillah".

"Oh I see. And here I was worried you'd been using one of you're rich perks on me".

"Haha. So what did you want to tell me"?

"I took the test and I passed" I say innocently. "What test"?

"The test".

"Oh my God! Are you sure"? She screams.

"Wait of course you are why else would be telling me. If I could jump out of this screen and give you a hug I would! I'm going to be an aunt! Congratulations to both of you"!

"About that".

"You haven't told him yet, have you?"

"That's why I called, I don't know how to. I mean it's going to unfrogettable even if I just tell him over breakfast but I want it to be memorable".
