Hey guys. It's been a while, huh?

So, I feel we probably owe you an explanation. Come August, it'll have been three years since Wolf and I started Dragon Scales, and since finishing it, but for the occasional response to comments, we've been all but dead on here. Believe me, we never wanted it to end up like this; we had big plans for DS. We wanted to write not just a sequel, but a full trilogy. Maybe even publish it one day, after much editing.

But...

Once we finished the first book, Wolf started to get busy, mainly with school, and never had much free time to write. And time went on, and as it goes with school, things only got harder, never easier. Since, it's only become a chore, for the both of us, to work on Dragonet. Two and a half years, and we haven't even managed to complete four chapters.

Believe me, I hate to do this. I don't want to end Dragon Scales. It was amazingly fun to write, and just as much so to see how much you all enjoyed it. On top of that, I know how frustrating it is to have a cliffhanger like that with no follow up (curse you Valve! How could you cancel Half-Life 3?!) and we never intended to leave you all in suspense for so long.

So, for the sake of a better ending, the one DS deserves, and for all you who have stuck around for the sequel, that's why I'm doing this.

Wolf and I have agreed that the chances of us ever finishing DS is pretty small. We just don't have time, and, quite frankly, I think we've both lost the inspiration. That said, we do still have a few chapters written up, and a planned out story. So here's how this is going to work- I'm going to edit, then publish, what we have written. Then, I'm going to write a summary of how it would have gone, how Dragonet- and, eventually, Dragon- would have ended, had Wolf and I been able to continue.

And then...

Then, well...

Fun as it's been to be here, my activity on this account will probably taper off, more than it already has. I'll likely eventually stop getting on entirely. Like I said, it's often just hard to find the time to get on, and when I do have the time, there are other things I'd much rather be doing. It's just too difficult.

But, the first few chapters of Dragonet, as well as the final plot summary, should be up relatively soon.

So, thanks for sticking around so long, everyone, and thanks for reading our story.

Best regards,
Foxfyre
