(AN: So, I know in the other chapters I said Katherine was in the tomb, but I think I changed all the changes. I'm not sure, but Kenneth will be the only Pierce in the tomb. Also, John will just be the same age as Jeremy, but Jeremy's still older by like something months, I guess. I'm too lazy to go back again to make changes to that. But yeah instead of being 13 he'll just be 15. But still in the same grade as Elena since he skipped grades.)

I walk to the basketball court, because I know Tyler is there. I know he's probably mad at me for not being there for him lately. I've told Caroline to take care of him as best as she could, while I go through this Kenneth-Katherine problem, but lately, I've felt as if I'm not being a good boyfriend so. I walk with Caroline to the court and I spot Tyler with the basketball in his arm as he's talking with Matt. Matt walks away and I walk a little ahead of Caroline. Matt looks up and I smile, making him smile in return. He looks back down before I hear Caroline call his name, making him look up again. I walk to Tyler.

"Tyler," I said, and he turns around to look at me, before smiling widely, and he pulled me closer to him, wrapping his arms around me. His embrace was warm, and his big, strong arms seemed very protective when wrapped around my smaller body, and it felt as if I had no problems in the world. But I know better than to believe that, we still have problems like Klaus, Kenneth, Katherine, even though one of those problems are in the tomb. He pulls away and just smiles.

"John, hey," he said.

"Hey, um, look Ty, I know I haven't been there for you lately, and you probably hate me for it, but I'm here now, and I'm gonna help you get through all this werewolf stuff, ok?" I ranted, and he just chuckles and shakes his head. I cock my eyebrow at him in confusion.

"I can never hate you, J, even though I wish you were here instead of Caroline, I understand you have your own problems," he said, making me sigh in relief, but also look even more confused. Since when has Tyler been the understanding one?

"If you say so," I said, and I turn around to see if Caroline left. But she was instead talking with Matt. Matt began to leave, and from the look of her face, I'm guessing the conversation didn't go too well. Caroline walks over here with a confident smile. But me being her best friend can see right through it.

"Are you two still on outs?" Tyler asked Caroline once she walked over here.

"Looks like it," she replied, looking down. I rub her arm reassuringly, causing her to look up.

"You realize there's almost a full moon?" she asked him, getting his attention.

"Vampires don't have enough problems, you want to take on mine?" he asked.

"Have you even thought about it? The whole... wolf thing? Do you know what you're going to do?" she asked.

"I'll be fine," Tyler replied, making me look at him skeptically. I can obviously tell he doesn't have a plan.

"Well?" I asked him, making him look at me.

"It's kind of private," he replied, and I gave him a really look.

"I'm student council vice president, head of the prom committee, and not to mention we single-handedly organized this town's cleanup campaign," she said, pointing between me and her when she said we.

"And I'm your boyfriend," I said, making him look back at me.

"You're really going to turn down our help?" she asked, and I nod as we made our point. He sighs in defeat, realizing we made a great point.

-----Time Skip-----

"Matt's bumming pretty hard," Tyler said.

"I know, it's better this way," Caroline said.
