A FLIRTATIONSHIP !

DO YOU EVER GET that feeling of sadness, anger and guilt merged all into one?

That's what Kenzie is feeling currently, she never thought Johnny and herself would ever stop being friends. Especially over a girl. Audrey to be exact. Mackenzie has nothing against her, except for the fact her personality is a huge turn off.

But it's not just her, it's also Johnny. He's more in the wrong than it was Audrey, he texted his best friend well knowing she was at his place, swapping saliva with him. The real question is, why would he want Kenzie to even witness that?

It's been three days now, Kenzie hasn't gone to school since that afternoon when she ran into John and Audrey. They've always argued before, but it was always over something silly. Right now, this is serious.

But you can't blame Kenzie for being mad and upset.

Today's the fourth day of Kenzie taking a day off school, her mum understands Kenzie's place considering she's allowing her to stay home. Johnny has left paragraphs of apologies, which were cute, but she didn't respond to any of the texts.

Speaking of the devil, a text from Johnny just came in. She pauses the series she had been binging, The Vampire Diaries. The text read, im coming over. Her eyes widened and she scrambled out of her very comfortable seat, running downstairs and locking her doors and windows.

She can't see him now.

Kenzie peaked out through the window curtains to see Johnny locking his car. He began to walk up the side walk, she quickly hid. His knocks on the door made her flinch. Johnny sighed, attempting to knock again.

Johnny needed to see his best friend. "Kenzie, open the damn door!" He exclaimed, pounding his fists against the wood.

"No, just go to school or wherever you can from!" She responded, leaning against the door frame with her arms folded across her chest.

"I just want to talk, I miss you."

She shut her eyes closed before any welling tears spill, remember Kenzie he is just a friend.

The last thing she said was barely audible,"Well I don't, Goodbye." Johnny's sniffs were clear, he slowly walked back to his car.

I miss him. So much. Mackenzie thought.

So why did you say you didn't? Another voice said.

Later that night, Kenzie went to bed early. She needed her rest. She rouse from a heavy, depressing slumber the coolness of the air due to forgetting to shut my window and the gloomy atmosphere is what she is met with first. Her clothes aren't the most appealing right now and she may not look like a Victoria Secret model but she doesn't care.

Waking up can be really hard, especially when your dreams are better than reality. Her legs swing over and feel the soft material of her white, fluffy carpet. Rubbing her eyes, the doors of her bedroom suddenly fly open revealing her three best friends that she needs the most.

"Kenzie, what is this? The last time I came over, you were wearing those clothes!" Nadia exclaimed, pulling her shocked face.

"So?" She sputtered out.

"It was four days ago, stupid!" She shrugged and stood up, walking to her mirror before running a hand through her now messy dirty blonde hair.

"Come on, Kenz! Who cares about Johnny, you have us!" Annie piped up, the girls are agreeing to her statement by a simple head nod.

"Go, take a shower, get dressed, you're going to school." Lauren pointed to her bathroom, Kenzie gaped before rolling my eyes and walking into the bathroom.

She knew Lauren won't take no for an answer.

The girls had taken a seat on her bed, talking to Kenzie from the shower. "Since it's Friday, how about a sleepover? Our bags are packed because we were planning one at school then came over and decided on forcing you out of your house." Annie explained, she slightly chuckled for the first time.

"Yeah whatever, a girls night would be fun." She yelled from the shower, washing her hair.

Two minutes later, she finished up with her shower and slid on the clothes she brought in. It was a plain white tee which she purposely tied up and blue denim shorts with rips here and there. She slips on a grey cardigan to go over.

Kenzie used the hairdryer then lightly curled it. After applying her makeup she walked out of her bathroom and slid on her shoes. Annie, Nadia & Lauren all complimented their best friend.

After packing her sleepover bag, they finally walk downstairs to Kenzie's mother. Her eyes look up from the papers she's reading, a smile toys around her lips and she leans in to hug her daughter. "You look gorgeous, have fun at the sleepover honey!" She waved her goodbye and they walk out.

She's guessing the girls told her before they came up to Kenzie's room, they're so sneaky.

Nadia parked her car and they all walked out, side by side. It was weird because a couple of students had turned their heads to admire the small friend group. She was fine until she saw Johnny at his locker with Audrey. They seemed so happy, they were laughing about god knows what. Maybe Johnny doesn't care that they aren't speaking right now.

"Don't worry about him, Kenzie. Just spend the day with a smile." Lauren gently squeeze her hand, Kenzie nods and plasters a fake smile on her face, he looks up and sees Kenzie. All he wanted to do was go talk to her. She turned her head away and pretended like he wasn't there.

Maybe avoiding him won't be too hard.
